I've been shopping for a 75 inch TV for a while and have had my eye on the Sony XBR. I checked Best Buy website today and saw they have it for $1,299. Seems like a great price as it was Front Page previously at $1,599.

NOTE: You must be signed in to your account to see price, as it a My Best Buy member price only.

This TV has HDMI 2.1 but does not support Dolby Vision using 4k @ 120Hz on Xbox Series X|S and Sony has yet to release a firmware update that enables VRR.
Great deal, looks to be available for pickup and delivery. I already bought one a few months ago and thankfully Costco reimbursed me when they dropped it to this price. But if you missed out on previous closout deals this is great. Can't imagine there will be much stock left now.
thanks. been looking for a good deal on a nice 75". kids threw something and broke my 65" OLED B9 a couple weeks ago. It's no OLED, but should be a suitable replacement.

Thanks OP, picked up one for a gift. I own 4 of this model in 3 sizes (85, 75 and 65) and think it's a great tv. My Samsung days are behind me for now.
Does the Sony upscale 720p or 1080i cable content better than your Samsung?

Sony and Panasonic are among the best at upscaling and processing motion. Samsung is probably better at hardware.

In the market for a TV. budget < $3000. Looking for 75 inch size. My living room gets lot of light through big size windows and balcony door. I have a projector in the living and it is hard to watch during day time even with the dark curtains. would OLED work in a very bright room? if not, this TV might work in a bright room. any suggestions for a TV in a bright room?

From your description of your room, you want to stay away from OLED unless you have window shades to control lighting. This TV should fit your need if you need it right away. If you can wait until Black Friday, there are a lot of new models to be announced and prices have already dropped. Sure to be a lot more choice of 2021 models.

The X900H supports Dolby Vision, but it doesn't support Dolby Vision while utilizing 4K 120 resolution. The LG C1 currently supports Dolby Vision at 4K 120 resolution.

A TV supporting Dolby Vision is a positive, not a negative. However, Dolby Vision cannot be used in conjunction with 4K @ 120 Hz. This dilemma primarily impacts Xbox Series X|S gamers since this TV may not give you the best possible gaming experience when using a Xbox Series X|S.

Nor does it support proper 4K 120Hz. Google X900H 4K blur and you'll find that Sony fixed it with a half baked solution.

So for non-gamers how big of an issue is this really?

The 85 inch x900h is $1,999 on clearance for Best Buy members. Not as low as Prime Day but an option.

Not a problem at all. Most devices are utilizing HDMI 2.0 so 4K 120 isn't possible with that bandwidth.

Lol. Looks like they are giving away the X900H now. Horrible TV if you game. If not I guess it's maybe a buy.
