Great price but lots of mixed reactions on the 3D (everywhere from "Barely there" to "Awesome 3D!"); hard to tell just how it is without knowing each setup (3D on an OLED looks amazing.. lower priced 3D LCD, not so much)
This is a great price and obvious choice for someone who had a 3D set but doesn't have a 4k one.
Its cool there have been a few surprise 3d releases this year between this and Wonder Woman. Not the greatest movies but I bought both anyway just to encourage the dying format. I wish it was bundled with 4k but my 4k tv is 55" and does good upscaling so you have to have your nose pressed against it to tell a difference in pq. I have a 120" 3d 1080p projector that shows off 3d really well.
Movie is so average it was worth only one watch. Who the hell would buy this to watch over and over again ♂️
Because some people like 3D and some people collect 3D movies just because they're 3D and only released in small quantities nowadays. I could ask who would buy lots of other movies, especially in stores at new release prices, but lots of people apparently do. 3D are actually the only movies I will pay up to $25 for certain ones (such as Disney/Marvel). Anything else, Bluray or 4K, I rarely go over $10. In the old days I would've waited, but in the MOD world, inventory is so scarce you never know if/when there will be more or how much it'll cost. The pricing patterns of the past may no longer apply, and that's not just in the world of 3D and physical movies. Things are going to change big time as our world gets reset.
I should add that I don't buy just any 3Ds. There are a bunch of old 3D movies ("Ape" comes to mind in particular) that I've never seen, and I'm not willing to pay a lot without seeing them first (which I haven't).
