About this deal:
My research indicates these Wolverine Men's Logan ESD Steel Toe 6" Boots are $50.01 lower (45.46% Savings) than the the list price of $110 at time of posting.
I haven't read all of the comments. And I cannot say specifically if this model is good or bad.
That being said, I have worn wolvy's for the last 4 years. The first for 2 years, and the second until now.
Both were steel toe boots. I wore each pair for 40+ hour construction yard work. I know it's not the same as being on site, but it's outdoor walking, standing, and working.
I have never worn a non-Wolverine construction boot. I have no comparison. All I can say is that the company makes solid, serviceable boots. I am fat. I have flat feet. I hate standing upright.
With these boots, I survived. Somehow.
Furthermore, I wore my work-boots to Disneyland.
Run on sentence warning.
Standing in line for an hour to go on one ride only to walk across the park because the kiddies want to see the haunted house after Indiana Jones only to walk across the park to see Starwars instead of staying in one spot and going to all the rides.
Anyways. In choosing footwear to brave Disneyland. My armor was a pair of broken in Wolvy's that I wore for a year. I did not regret it. Granted, that the pair I wore was a "premium" pair, I do not believe I will ever wear a different brand of construction work-boots in my life.
I don't need another pair, but I'm looking at these just because they are "on sale." Slickdeals does that to me.
On more note. I left my review at a site about a year ago. Here is the copy pasta (there is some repeating because I forgot what I wrote back then in September 2020:
This is an unpaid, unsolicited review. I get NOTHING for this. I have worn Wolverine's for my entire construction career. My first pair lasted 40+ hour work weeks for an entire year. So I bought a second pair of Wolverines. I tend to ramble a bit, so in an effort to organize my thoughts into something at least halfway coherent, let's do subjects/traits: Fit: 10/10 I am 9.5. I wear a 9.5. I bought 9.5. Fits true to size. No issues. Comfort: 8/10. Good Cushioning and support. Durability: I'd say 8/10. Slightly above average but it has only been about 6 months. They are holding up just fine, but my own field duties are different now. Performance: 9/10. The toe guard has helped/saved me enough times to know that they are ACTUAL steel toe boots and not composite. Break in period was minimal. That will tie into weight: Weight: 9/10. These are CLEARLY lighter then my older Wolvies. Yet they still have a steel toe! I do not know how they weigh less but give the same amount of protection and performance as the heavier models. Traction: 7/10. I'd say it was higher. I know these are at least as good or better then my old Wolvies. BUT. I work in dirt. I do not work in high slippery places where my life would depend on traction. So. I cannot give a 10/10 and give the impression that these things will give you spiderman grip or something silly. However. They are perfectly acceptable for my own use. I have walked countless miles carrying heavy tools, and hoses without slipping, or rolling an ankle. I have shoveled a few truckloads of dirt with these Wolvies giving me the grip and leverage I need. Laces: 2/10. This is my only gripe about the whole thing. I had to buy replacement laces because I personally like to double knot my laces when I tie them. The original laces were just too **** short! Looks: 10/10. People notice. They look striking. They look GOOD! I wear these outside of work and there is something about the black toe and the yellow lettering that catches the eye. Intangibles: 10/10. -Has the little loops to help you pull the boot onto your foot before you lace them (I like that attention to detail) -I don't roll my FREAKING ankles. So. For whatever reason, I tend to roll or sprain my ankles a lot. I noticed that right away when I switched to the old pair of Wolvies. I was walking in a straight line and BAN, ankle roll! No injury or anything, just a surprise, and a bit of gratefulness that I wasn't doing anything scary or dangerous. -yet! even though I am apparently more stable, I AM TALLER wearing these. You see. The heel guard, and the outsole is something like 3/4 an inch more then my old Wolvies. Value/Cost: I'd say 8 out of 10. I had a purchase this during a promo, and I had some "reward bucks" so I paid about 100 bucks for em. At price, they are worth every penny. FREAKING sold I tell you! Will buy again. Will wear this model forever. For FREAKING ever! Do what you wish. I ain't switching
