I do not go to threads about bread telling people you are better of sourcing your own ingredients and baking your own bread.
This Dell XPS system would be a great fit, for home, office, students, coders, CAD, miners, and even casual gamers. Pretty much everyone except PC gamer enthusiast that like to build and maintain their own systems.
If you are just an normal person that wants to get a good deal on a good PC that will probably never be opened, and the only real maintenance you do is reinstall Windows ever couple of years to clean the system up. Then this system is perfect for you.
Hidden charges: No. When you price out a Dell, they list things as "Included" and have up charged extras, and sometimes they have downgradable options to save you a few bucks. They set the options and the prices. You can't tell them to add or remove something from a configuration that they don't want to add or remove. The fact that they saw the On-site 1-year service as an itemized line doesn't mean it was a hidden charge, and "included" doesn't mean "free". Gamers Nexus is stupid to think that "included" means "free". It means that it's included in the price they were quoted and they wished it didn't exist. Too bad. The bit about the forced monthly subscription that you have to actively opt out of WAS true. The video says that Dell changed it and it no longer exists.
GN does nothing but complain about every single thing they review. The few things I've seen them recommend still contain backhanded insults. Nothing will ever satisfy them. That's their shtick.

My kids play (2019) "Doom: Annihilation" and like I said (2019) "Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare", while watching YouTube and messengers apps going all at the same time on similar Dell G5 with lesser i5-10400F CPU and older GTX 1660 graphics cards with out issue. This new XPS with i7-11700 and RTX2060 would easily play all modern games.
As far as GPU upgrades this XPS uses the same 500W platinum 12v Power Supply in the G5 that runs a $800 RTX3070, how much more GPU upgrade do you need in a $1100 computer? Why would you be looking at a standard pre-build desktop when you should wasting big money on a gaming rig chasing high FPS at 4K?
It's like complaining a $40k SUV does not get the same performance as a $120K sports car.
Here you go if you want upgrades for a high end gaming system then start off with the correct base system. https://www.dell.com/en-us/member...daurr1

Prepared for your future needs
Endlessly expandable: When it comes to work or passion projects the more memory your system has, the better. Enjoy plenty of storage with capacity for one 3.5" HDD plus two 2.5" NB drives plus one internal optical drive. Three PCle slots let you add in sound cards, graphics cards, and more as you customize your machine.
Performance headroom: The XPS Desktop PSU options allow for better performance upgrades during the life of your system. The 360W PSU supports a 65W processor plus up to 150W graphics. Even more, the optional 500W PSU supports up to 95W K-series CPUs and 225W graphics.
Your command center: Connect all your devices in a snap with 10 total USB ports, including four front facing ports for easy access.
Easy to access: The optimized size of the desktop required an innovative approach to maintaining tool-less access to the internal components. Once the side is removed you gain easy access to the chassis, so you can expand and upgrade seamlessly.
I have a 8940 and a hp that came with a 3060ti. I'm trying to fit 2 video cards in either set up. I've found I would have to buy extra peripherals and they still won't fit in there.
I looked at my old computer parts and the motherboard I bought from 9 years ago has 2 sets of cpu case fan pinout, 3 sets for system fan, 2 pcie x16, 2 x1, 1 x4. And I know I got that for cheap because I was on a budget I have a celeron on it. The dell / hp has one each.
Also have a 14 year old computer case that has better cooling but I can't really transfer the dell or hp mobo because the front i/o are part of the motherboard and they were made specifically for their case.
That's the kind of stuff you can't do with proprietary parts. Compared to if you buy standardized parts they have better future proofing.
