It seems like the 3200g processor went for about $99 originally and now Amazon wants $219. That weak power supply and no leads for PCI-e means upgrading to a dedicated card is impossible or not cost viable.
Asking because I really only need it for a kid to play roblox and minecraft and the 3200/APU seems to handle that fine in 1080.
While it's probably technically "worth" $253 for the 3200G system, I wouldn't really call it a good deal. The CPU is decent enough for basic use and with build-in graphics it can handle general computing or web based games (like roblox). Besides it not coming with a dedicated graphics card, the biggest thing that will effect performance is the mechanical hard drive instead of coming with an SSD. If I was going to use the 3200G machine for anything I'd want to through an SSD into it which would add another $50-$200 depending on the size you want. And with a crappy 180W power supply don't plan on adding a GPU later as it won't be able to handle it.
If I was trying to build something similar new I'd probably end up spending $300-$350 right now. That being said, I wouldn't build something similar as for a little more you can probably build a low-end gaming machine which would be more upgradable down the line .
If you absolutely NEED a basic machine right now than it's not a bad price considering the chip shortage and jacked up prices right now. Keep in mind that it's also refurb'd so it could die on you very quickly.
Mine is going back soon as it's delivered as I don't expect to get the 3600x + GPU since nobody else is.

To put in to context, I ordered the PC fully intending to move the components to a different case I have here with a decent PSU. I planned to replace my daughters i3 2350m laptop which she uses for roblox, youtube and a few very light games on steam (e.g. cat quest, fall guys), this 3200G struggles more than the dated i3 system, mainly due to the lack of SSD which I could move from the laptop to the desktop but to me its not even the effort.
The vendor offered 10% discount for me to keep the system but Im sending it back as its definitely not an improvement over what I have and it would take a lot more $$$ to get it where I want it to be specially since the power supply is so weak.

I do find it strange that the i3 2350m was faster than this system though... According to https://cpu.userbenchma
The 3200g is also 9 years newer and uses DDR4 vs DDR3. https://www.cpu-world.com/Compare...A988)
I guess I can throw in a cheap SSD (lying around) and reinstall the OS in like 30 minutes and see how it performs. The HP probably has a lot of bloat, anti virus, etc.
I'd be OK even without the video card promised, for hell no won't take a 3200G. Won't pay this for $150

For me and my use case, I did not see any improvement and still had frame drops on steam games and more input lag for controller play plus longer response and load times (I'll attribute that to the SSD vs Mechanical). Granted, the current system is dated but I've added a few upgrades through the years (SSD memory) but I was expecting more from a "modern" system.
Keep that in mind if you are thinking about keeping it. It took no effort to call and get a return label for it.

The 3200G played Fortnite like absolute GARBAGE from a graphics standpoint. Once I realized that a 1650 or better wasn't in my immediate future from an availability/price standpoint, I put some graphics cards I had from previous systems in each of them, an RX580 in the 3200G, and an R9 270 in the 1600AF. I was going to take the processors and graphics cards out of these, put a 1650 in the 1600AF system, swap the 3200G with the 3600, and finish building the B550 system using the 3600 processor and 1650, and would have ended up with three modern-ish budget gaming rigs for my three kids.
Instead, I guess I'm taking a lot less time and printing out return labels.
It sucks, and I understand that mistakes happen. I'm just disappointed that they could have alerted us of the listing error, rather than changing the description and following through on shipping.

I picked up a B550 MB from amazon for $65 and may have to wait for a good deal on a 3600 and maybe slap in an R9 390 that I have lying around. Or give in an rebuild my backup i7-6700k system with the Nvidia 980... The kids use it today, but I don't trust Synapase-X and all of the other hacking tools on that system without purging all personal data first.

I got the 3200G because A) after watching some YouTube reviews, I figured it would hold my oldest daughter over until I was able to get a 1650; B) by the time I got around to putting that rig together in May of last year, the magical 1600AF that I bought for ~$80 was going for more than double that price. And I said "No, I can't possibly spend more than $100 or so on a processor, I've always built pretty good rigs and never paid more than $130 for motherboard and CPU combined". Stupid, stupid me.
Didn't even get as far as playing Minecraft. I built it quickly, my oldest daughter (16YO when I assembled it) tried playing Fortnite (because that's what all three daughters were obsessed with at the time). She came upstairs and said "it's so laggy, I can't even play"; I logged in and adjusted to lower visuals, said "Yup, this sucks", played with drivers for a bit, then decided to try installing the RX 580 that I thought was dead (the Dell it came in wouldn't boot with it installed). It worked, so I decided that a 580 with a 3200G was practically sacrilegious, so I switched it with the 370 that was in the 1600AF.
To be fair to the processor, though, it *MIGHT* have worked well had I spent some time on it, and it works fine now with the R7 370. At the time I put it together I had three kids at home ALL THE TIME (not that I was different than anyone else) because of the wonderful social experiment that we've all gone through in the past year-plus. I just wanted to have three gaming-ish computers working all at the same time, so I didn't spend time I normally would have, figuring out why it lagged so much. This YouTube video (and others) shows it doing pretty nicely at 1080p: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Oz04RW
EDIT: I should add, also, that my 13-year-old is using the 3200G/R7 370 rig to play Minecraft, Fortnite, Dead By Daylight (custom matches, just between our family), occasionally stream those games, and edit videos for YouTube using Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 23. So the 3200G, with the R9 390 in it, should do very well for what you want.
