Supposedly 125-130W

Lack of USB-PD charging on this Alienware makes me think the Lenovo Legions (similar specs are around this same price) may still be worth a little longer wait. I'd have to compare all the other features, but I've been waiting for a decently-priced gaming laptop that can be used occasionally for workand travel without carrying the large power brick. USB-PD is awesome to have.

I think this is the first time I've seen an Alienware laptop that can be classed as a downright bargain, and not just a "good deal"

I said 2070 super, not max Q variant. Who buys max-Q ? Max-Q = Max-shit. You got yourself to blame if you buy anything max-q.

This or the G15 5515 for $1,078?

15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080) 165Hz 300nits 3ms WVA Anti- Glare LED Backlit Narrow Border Display
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 8-core/16-thread (3.2GHz Base / 4.4GHz Boost) Mobile Processor
16GB DDR4
512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6 Graphics
G15 5515 is a better deal. You are getting close to $200+tax overpriced because it's "alienware" otherwise it's still a 3060. It performs about same as 2070 and gets destroyed with 2070 super laptop last gen. a M-E-H card.

Alienware is premium G15 is not. That all you need to know. Has more resale value if somehow you don't want it anymore

Agree. I picked up a Dell G7 7700 (17") at the end of last year with better specs (i7-10750H, RTX 2070 Super, 32GB, 1 TB, 2 years of premium support) for $1296.78. It has been rock solid so far. As far as I can tell, the 2070S outpaces the 3060 in almost every test.

100 percent. Dell's 2021 higher end systems are all ruled out for me for this reason, and same with HP. With Asus supporting PD but unbelievably refusing to include webcams, Legion series looks like the only one that checks all the right boxes. 16:10 on the Pros is a nice option as well.

Agreed, i laugh because people hype the rtx 3060 mobile. If it was 3070 high tdp then ok I would bow. My zephyrus s from last year prime day with a 2070 max q no less still trounce this. I reckon it cools amazingly
