Separate line? I guess it overpasses the trap? Does it have it's own trap? Also most clogged toilets will have certain stuff floating around in the water, especially things like toilet paper can probably easily block these small lines, still a good idea but I am not sure if it's that effective.

$129 at local store. Never heard of Penguin before and have never needed an overflow drain on a toilet.
Mitch if You have never had a toilet overflow on you, u must be from another galaxy! 😉

I know nothing about toilets (except how to use them) trying to replace my current 16yr old ones. Is there anything I should look for when buying or would this more than suffice?
Rough in size, google it

if you could get it at $73. its a steal. we slickdealers always look at the retail price vs clearance price. that one retails at $279.

I don't get it. Because of the 5 star reviews?
I likely would not have gotten this joke except for the woman I met that would buy a new outfit for every event, carefully hide the tags and then return it after wearing it to the party.

Umm, I think there's a reason there hasn't been overflow holes in toilets. Do you really want turd bits lingering in the overflow holes?

Despite this, I may just get it to replace the builder installed toilets. Soo low to the ground biggest problem is the pee splash is a chore to keep up with.

Lol maybe that's why it's heavily discounted.

Lowes has the Aquasense Henshaw toilets for $75 every day. I've installed 4 9f them in 2 different homes and they are excellent. Why bother with these cheap trash ones?

Good price and there's some at my store too. If I needed a cheap toilet I'd grab one.

I've had 2 for 4 months now and very satisfied and would buy more if I needed. I paid full price My only complaint is the seat that comes with it is very cheap plastic and I replaced.

If you want/need power, get one with a 3" trap.
This one only has a 2" trap, you'll probably have to flush twice.

I agree that there will be stuff in the toilet that may block it, specially toilet paper. But if you think of it, just holes being there giving the water a chance to escape is a plus, versus the hole not even being there. So in theory, yes it's more effective
