Good Lord. Would it kill these manufacturers to put a atx board in these cases? Those micro ATX boards make the PC look awful

Personally I haven't built anything larger than an ITX in the last 10 years. Just my preference, but I think anything larger looks bad. Once I stopped being 13, I was over the whole hulking towering Gamerboi PC. Prefer as stealth as possible without sacrificing cooling, and practically speaking, I almost never needed the extra expansion slots.

I'd bet $9 that the vast majority of people never use the expansion slots either outside of a integrated mobo component going bad and/or poor performance. (i.e. sound, wifi, etc). Once you start specializing in a specific majority-use case (i.e. audio production, video production ,etc.) then it starts to make more sense.

Then again, if you are, I'd wonder as to why you're buying an ABS prebuilt from Newegg.

Genuinely asking, is the concern here entirely cosmetic? Or are the micro ATX boards less capable or something

Primarily it comes down to expandability. This board has fewer PCI-E slots (only 1 open x4 slot from the looks of it), quite possibly fewer M.2 slots (they don't list the exact board), and so on. In a small form factor case, an SFF motherboard makes sense, but from the pictures this case is clearly designed for a full ATX board.
