Amazon is risky, but Best Buy isn't. I don't think they mix other sellers stuff in their own inventory, and most stuff comes direct from the store (in store pick up and and even some delivery options).

Probably no speed difference if the specs are the same. You do run less of a risk that the microSD slips out of the adapter with vibration and what not.

I'm wondering if a full-size SD card dissipates heat better than a microSD card in an adapter and therefore has a longevity advantage.

I'm not sure though, would let experts comment on this.
