good deal if thats the size you know you need and you will never be moving it... but i did a quick check an couldnt find any extensions available on amazon. we move our "dreambaby" gate around depending on where we need to keep the dog out of. have purchased a couple of the extensions which make it pretty adaptable to any opening size. bit more money, but we've had it for a long long time(10ish years)... idk that id want to be stuck with one size.

It's a nice gate until your animal figures out they can body slam it to jiggle it open.

Plus it doesn't have that bottom rail for you to trip over and tumble down the stairs.

I have that one (or very similar). Had it anchored to my drywall at the top of my steps using toggle bolts so it was pretty secure. My 4 year old decided to use the door as a swing (likely multiple times, but I only saw him doing it once) and ended up ripping off the gate with a chunk of drywall. It is probably stronger than the one in this OP, but I'd only recommend it if you have studs to screw it in to or something stronger than drywall. I've had it since the 4 year old was a baby so I did get good use out of it (used it for the next child as well) and really liked it until the aforementioned incident (which literally just happened last week).

This for sure. Even without the status, stubbed toes or shins are not fun (depending on mounting height)

I have one and I made it so tight I can run into it full force and it won't budge. I made it extra tight with a wrench! Works very well and its very sturdy!

Yeah, well... instructions say to attach it to a stud 😜

Unfortunately drywall can only handle so much. Surprised it held what it did with the kid swinging in it 😂

I ended up attaching it at a corner. Screwed up the corner bead just a little but the gate is solid. It'd be better with bigger screws, I just went with what was included though.
