I have this one. It works well. So much better than the ones that have the elastics that secure around the corners. It's nice to be able to remove and insert the phone back into the holder easily.

My guideline is: No name storefront on Amazon that exists nowhere but on other larger merchant websites + coupon code = probably not legit. I hate to say it, but these sellers figure out ways to game the system (to get around fakespot, for instance).

Frankly, a ton of comments on SD for an item of apparent limited utility is another huge red flag that makes me want to run the other way. It could be a tactic to push an impulse/panic buy.

None of these guys get my money. It's like asking how to find the best tasty treats in the sewer.

Received mine today, seems ok, fits my XR with otterbox case, haven't mounted it to handlebars yet though. Kind of wish I remembered I prefer stem mount ones... but for the price not bad.

this thing literally cost pennies to make once you have the mold ready.

this is a selling technique, drive up sale using promo code. more sale = higher rank. I guess they are willing to sell this at cost or at a loss to drive up sale, why not? you don't like the quality, you can return them.

shipping will cost $3-5 and amazon charges 15% each sales, they ain't making much money at this price, that's why they set a promo code with limited quant.

Finding it hard to believe people are willing to risk damaging their $500 - $1k phones on a bicycle. Dedicated bicycle computers or fitness watches can be had for $100 - $250, have much more reliable mounting systems, designed to survive a crash / fall.
Your solution to protecting a $500 phone is a $250 insurance policy? Just get a solid mount. The only thing I need for my ebike is maps, a mph app and radar for cars (Garmin Varia, highly recommended).

More than just an insurance policy - provides all of your "must have" functionality on one, easy to read and access screen.

Also able to keep my phone in a safe place while riding, call for help if there is an accident - and in the case of my Garmin Edge 1030, text my location to loved ones if unable to do so myself.

Purchased the newer model of this on Prime Day for $15.99. I've been using it on my bike with a iPhone 12 Pro without a case and its been working great. I def would recommend over the stretchy rubber ones.

Keep in mind there's a chance that using any handlebar mounted phone holder could damage the phone's camera lens. The constant bouncing will eventually cause the optical image stabilization system to fail. I ended up going with a stem-mounted rubberized phone holder that supposedly offers shock absorption to reduce this risk.

I've been looking for a good phone holder for my mountain bike rides (mostly paved paths). This one is the best I've seen so far. Holds my iPhone 12 max with a pretty thick case very snug (probably couldn't fit a bigger phone in it) and worked perfect for my first ride today. Feels sturdy and didn't move even going off road a little. The amount of mounting rubber spacers is awesome and they fit my fatter sized bars no problem. I'd recommend it for bikes or motorcycles. Durability we'll see in time but seems of decent quality.

Have owned this very one since Sept of last year (cost me $19.99 at that time). I use mine on my disc golf cart to use my phone for scoring and playing music. I got it because I go across some rough terrain that had resulted in my phone falling out of other holders. Once you lock the lock on the back, your phone isn't really going anywhere. So far, so good. I'm considering buying a couple for buddies and maybe a spare in case it ever fails (which would most likely be my fault if it does).

like you failed to read the news recently on why amazon banned some well known chinese sellers for that that kind of practice.

this is america, not like china where you can get a friend or relative hooked up easily. thats not our culture here.
No kidding. Phony reviews, "brushing', paid reviews, etc., have been part of the shopping experience consistently for at least a decade. But hey, I guess it doesn't exist - that guy on SD said so, LOL.

Got it today. Within .5 miles it ejected my phone from my bike. Last time I bite on one of these cheap chinese amazon/SD specials.

I've got one of these and it works well on a mountain bike. My only complaint is the clamp accommodates much larger bars than a bike so I had to use all the rubber spacers to clamp tight. I'd trust it on my motorcycle.

How did that happen? Did you enable the locking mechanism switch on the back?

I thought I was being paranoid about this issue…but it seems like there is also a sufficiently large amount of evidence online about this issue. Which mount did you end up going with?

It arrives today, but this is the one I went with...

"Bone Bike Tie Pro 4 Bike Phone Holder for Stem Mounting 4.7" - 7.2" Screen Smartphones, Face ID Compatible, Ultra Light Weight Bicycle Phone Mount, Designed for Road, Race & Touring- Black"

I may return it anyway and just resort to using an armband or pocketing.
