Wow. I did know this was a thing. I bought a nice Amazon new brand cheap rubix cube that I really like, but I can only solve one layer. My 6 year old son has strong interests in learning, but I can't teach him. This looks like an amazing product to help fuel their interests in logic puzzles.

First time seeing this product and have a question. Why? Everything does not need a tracking device added to make it "smart". It just seems like a cheesey money and information grab. (Yet another stupid app aided to your smart phone) Had one as a kid and my kid has several different versions. He figured it out and loved it.

For training and stats. If you don't want to use the Rubik's app there are alternatives.

This seems fun but $20 still seems like a lot...

Whether you like the smart features or not, the dealbreaking question is -- how does it spin? The original Rubix cubes are impossible to love because of how 'sticky' they are to turn.

Would have bought this but not worth the tracking. Note the following review:

Buyer beware! Require Facebook or Email Account to use!!!!
By Dead Gamer on January 1, 2021
Buyer beware! Comes with a CATCH!!! Can't use the app without creating an account, giving email address, and signing up. I bought this for my ten-year-old. I'm not giving some company his email address!
Paid all this money and their Privacy policy says they are collecting IP Address, location, OS, length of use, name, email address, name, employeey, job title, and other data. It says clearly "We may share your information with selected third parties including but not limited to:" aka we will sell you data to anyone who pays us for it.
If you like, you can ask them not to sell your data for marketing purposes, but when you go to website, you can't.

Wait, I can learn how to solve a Rubik's cube for only $20?!?

Won't my inevitable job promotion make this pay for itself?!

Reviews say this tracks incredibly well - way better than the original.
