Yes. And these cc offers only make sense is you pay them off each month --- never carry a balance=do not pay finance charges.

Can i get the bonus if i already got it 2 years ago then closed the account?
May I ask what you did with your points? It seems like the only way to get value that's anything near cash equivalent is through gift cards. You can't actually pull cash out or statement credits, or can you?

I have a dental procedure(tooth implant) that's gonna cost me upwards of $4000. Is this advisable to get? My main spending is mostly gas and food and online shopping. I have the Capital One Savor One for food and entertainment, BofA Rewards card for online shopping. It'd be nice to have a card that covers gas.

What's the most valuable way to redeem the "80,000 ThankYou® Points"?

Seems like $800 is not an option, which is worse than competitors like Chase Card (but of course they cannot get $800 either).

Or they can redeem to cash by a 1.25 PTs / Dollar or something?

Transfer to a partner and book business or first class. 80K can get you to the middle east in business class on Emirates. Probably a $3K+ ticket.

You DID ask for the most valuable way and redeeming for flights is one of them. For straight up cash, 1 cent/point is just about average. There are sometimes bonus transfers to hotel partners if that's more your thing so you have to keep an eye out. This is good if you have some traveling to do around the country or for a vacation.

Can I do this if I have another Citi card (different type of course)?

Does anyone know how quick they expire? I seem to lose them pretty quick.

Also, I'll second the last post - No rental car protection.

Do you have to activate these offers on these cards to get cash back? I just got a couple cards for Black Friday and have spent a lot of money, but never activated any offers.

What if you make enough purchases to hit the SUB, then transfer the balance to a card with 0% interest? Are there fees associated with doing that, and will it affect the Citi SUB in any way?

Edit: I've been told it probably wouldn't affect the SUB, but there is a balance transfer fee that the other card charges, which is usually 3-5%. Not sure if I want to give up that much of the bonus, if I dont absolutely have to. Was just wondering about ways to pay it off slower than in 1 month, to avoid interest charges.

Is it confirmed that this bonus can be redeemed for $800, either as cash back, or as a statement credit? I seem to recall reading that those types of redemptions were less than 1 cent/point in the past.
