Looking at the eBay reviews, the only red flags are people upset about the condition of refurbished or like new products. No one seems to be complaining about new in box products (or at least no one seems to have legitimate complaints about them).

I'll grant you that Google has not done the best on automation. You can get most of the way there with home assistant though. The big advantage for this ecosystem is search... Alexa doesn't seem to know anything about the world while Google just seems to know.

I've ordered from buydig online from their store in California and no problems w quality or delivery, but I am a bit weary about all the recent negative feedback on their eBay profile. Pretty decent price tho.

Do any of these allow 2-way video, for Skype, WhatsApp, etc.? If not, not interested. That's half the reason to get any of these.

I just switched from Amazon to Google since all my email/data is on Google side anyway. I have had nothing but positive things to say about it. Sleep tracker will track anyone in the bed, so if your SO rolls over to your side, then it will track their results as yours.

I received mine. It has no camera. I reckon the max does the video calling, but i doubt you can do those on apps you mentioned. probably only through Google due

This hands down has been our experience. Repeating the same command 3 times in a row to get a valid response is fun. When it works you're happy, but when it doesn't, and it's often, it's infuriating. This is after having both Alexa and Home.

As with what others have stated it does seem to do a better job with general questions and such. We are also in the Google eco system, so mainly why we stick with Home.
