It's an ok deal, I got the 128gb pixel 3 xl not pink non Verizon version for $199 a few weeks ago from bh. I also have the non xl version of pixel 3 as well.

Here are my experiences with the phone so far.

Battery is ok, not amazing, gets about 5 hours of screen time on both xl and non xl version.

Camera is amazing for still photos, video is sometimes choppy if you turn image stabilization on or if you record in high efficiency format h265. This is for both xl and non xl.

Verizon version does not have esim support. If you need esim, don't buy the Verizon version.

While the pixel 3 cpu 845 is still pretty fast, but the 4gb of ram is only barely enough, wish it was 6gb.

I personally prefer the smaller non xl version after using both for a couple of weeks.

Be aware that Pixel 3 devices are EOO October 2021 and may not receive security or feature updates after that date.

I wouldn't bother buying phones from ebay that are claimed to be new. No idea if manufacturer will honor warranty because you know "qualitycellz" aint on the authorized retailer list from Google....

I'd need a 50% discount over retail stores

So true! I bought (and returned) two phones off Swappa from high rated sellers like this claiming the phones were "Mint" and both were defective. Ebay scandalously allows these sellers to falsely represent refurbished and renewed products as either "New - open box" or "New -other". It gives the buyer the impression the phone has never been used before. Most of those phones were lemons that customers quickly returned to the carrier. That's why they look so pristine. Not just the display but the frame and backs.

These phones are never "fixed" because the defects are so difficult to address. Could be a problem with the FP reader, antennas, the chips, the flash storage, a whole host of deeply embedded nebulous problems that can't be resolved by just slapping on a new display or changing the battery which is what most cell-phone repair shops specialize in. So they just recycle them through the secondary market hoping the eventual buyer does not discover each unit's flaws or they end up in the Emerging Market economies at deep discount.

It seems contradictory but with used phones buyers are probably better off buying a scuffed one in fair condition because that would indicate that the device wasn't a lemon and was previous user got a lot of use out of it.

I bought the exact phone from this seller and it did come in a new sealed box. Based on reviews I noticed more have bought from the seller and indicated the same new sealed condition in the review. Am satisfied with the purchase from ebay as woot was selling white/not pink version for $214 at that time.

Did you check Google site to see how much warranty was left on the phone?

https://store.google.com/us/repair

It'll show whether you get the warranty or not...

I got those 128GB 3XL refurbished phone a few months ago for $180. Hands down best phone I have owned;. Super fast multitasking, great picture/video quality, nothing can slow this phone down. Battery life lasts all day. Only complaint is that my cell provider's signal is lower on this phone than other phones I had. Missed a few calls in certain rooms.

So basically you're saying that this phone is great for you except for using it as a phone?

You have to select select the "activate later" option, and then find the open box ones. Then it'll show you the phone at 299.

My first gen Pixel XL got android 10 last year and that phone is 5 years old. Gave it to my rep last month when I got my new Pixel 3 and it's impressive, especially at $150. from Daily Steals. I believe BH also had it around that price.

uninformed people don't care about security updates
that would be the opposite of reality. security updates often patch edge cases where exploits require direct access to the device, special network privileges, or specific side-loaded apps. There's almost never any sort of 'zero-day' that can be executed remotely over WAN or through webviewer code. The most interesting one was really years ago when MMS was potentially vulnerable to an exploit.

That's great, I'd be fine buying this phone than because you don't need the seller anymore.

It's a like a great car in the world, only it's hard to start in the morning or night, and will shut it off intermittently.

My price point is $170 - $180 for the Pixel 3 XL with 128GB storage. Would pay $200 but have to fact in the taxes and a new case. Won't be buying a screen protector this time. The screen is Gorilla glass 5. I'd like to see how well it holds up to normal use.
