Shouldn't be able to call it a 3080 at 80W (100 boost), total nonsense
Well, that's what you get if you need to put in a 4.2 lbs Laptop. And I am not sure if that is the case, why everybody is mad about the Gigabyte Aorus 15G laptop, currently FP. That has a far less capable 10th Gen Processor, 85W RTX 3080 and a 1080P Screen and far inferior build quality.
I've read that lovelace will slaughter the 3000 series. So why would anyone spend 2k on this generation of gaming laptops?
Because that isn't likely to be released until Q4 2022 or Q1 2023. And then there will be rumors of a 5000 series that will slaughter that. Gonna just wait forever to get a PC?

And RTX 3000 series has a good amount of gain over RTX 2000. So, as per logic, none should have bought a RTX 2000 series Laptop, right?
Exactly. If we were discussing a product coming out in the fall, I could understand waiting. But we are talking about rumors for a product that isn't coming out for almost 2 years.
It is like saying don't buy a PS5 because the PS6 will smoke it. Yeah, when it eventually comes out.

It is not peerless, it is brainless. Check couple of other posts of that poster if you want some fun reading.
Based on this leak RTX40 will present insane gains over current generation.
The twitter "leak" the article is based on basically says "Double 3090 performance not sure if true." This is vague enough to be almost meaningless. And the "leak" itself says this is over 1-1.5 years away. Not something to be basing buying decisions on now.
this one isn't even worth looking at. 80 watt 3080 is a joke.
The Alienware at least has 140w which is pretty close to full power.
If you're looking for the best performing laptop for money then yes and there are even cheaper options than Alienware m4. But this is not meant for that in the first place. It's 1.3 lbs lighter, has a smaller foot print, superior display and far superior battery life and CPU Performance. If you're looking for those things and still want a powerful laptop, this is for you.
