Why would you get a brushless Craftsman for $150 when you can get a brushless Milwaukee combo for $225? Probably because you don't use the drills much and didn't want to spend more then $100

In which case why would you buy a driver and a drill when you could just get a drill for less?

Hanging gutters a while back, I used the drill to pre-drill the aluminum and impact driver to fasted gutter screws to fascia board. Easier to change between tools than bits. Staying on gutters, used the same method for all the downspout screws vs sending a self tapper through blindly.

With building anything, the driver makes more sense. Compact, light weight, and powerful.
