Subway apparently closed a lot of stores today to train their workers for a new menu overhaul. A lot of articles online say they're giving away a million sandwiches tomorrow to promote the new menu.

Do you really think it cost them $10 or even $5 to make one footlong?

I may be a minority opinion but I love their fresh baked bread and quite a few of their subs.

The chicken bacon ranch was pretty good for subway. Had some GCs and subway cash so it was only $1.

I stopped going when the woman making my sandwich used the little scoop to put chicken on my sub, and when a tiny piece was hanging off the scoop she actually pulled it off and put it back in the bin instead of on the sandwich. It was then I realized I don't ever want to give money to such a miserly company ever again. They try so hard to cut costs in the worst ways possible then wonder why their sales keep going down. We're not idiots, we know what you are doing and we are going to go elsewhere because of it. Meanwhile Publix is rocking on even though the prices on some of their subs have gone up, because they don't skimp on the quality and quantity.
Ya, I used to watch them make the turkey sub I would always order. Once in a blue moon, someone didn't give a crap and put extra meat on without asking/charging me for it. Most of the time, they would count the pieces out like clockwork. Gotta say, it's amazing how disciplined they have made their staff because most places don't give a crap and just throw extra stuff on with the mentality that it "isn't their money". Pretty amazing how Subway keeps em in-line, if nothing else that is.

My subway and the others on reddit are just a revolving door of low wage workers. Some of it is the overwork from these sub offers, some of it is only having 1 guy instead of 2 on lunch rush, some of it is just the attitudes customers have, some of it is workers figuring out that Walmart pays way more. There's a lot of subways in the middle of nowhere providing jobs, like dollar general's in rural tx, so that's cool I guess, but most can't or don't want to be there at subway

wtf CA?! Taxing a "toasting"??? Bless your souls CA residents.
I believe that it's due to cooked foods being taxed, whereas in CA an assembly of uncooked ingredients does not. It works similarly at groceries; if you purchase prepared foods like fried chicken from the deli, it's taxed, but you don't get taxed for purchasing produce from the same grocery store.

This is a joke farking waste of time.. I tried three stores, all three stores dont accept this coupons. "Sorry, this restaurant is not participating in this promotion." Such a non sense. for every store you need to build each order from scratch, unlike just changing the pickup location. worst app ever. Wasted 20 mins of my time.

I don't understand why any websites have apps. Like the website is already there

Coupon works at my local subway but they don't allow you to order all of the newer subs.

How do the stores make any money when it's B1G1 free for six weeks?
It costs them less than $2 to make the sub believe it or not, so charging $8-$9 for a regular sub is a robbery, and with BOGO they're still making money. And not everyone goes in for footlong so they still have those customers who'll play $4 for a 6 inch sub.

Where are you getting the info that all subs cost less than $2 to make? Maybe the cheap ones cost $2. Even if they cost $2 then $4 food costs for two subs when customer is paying $8-9 will lose money because that's 44-50% food cost and that's way too high. Restaurants need to keep food costs closer to 30% to make money. If you think that's robbery you don't understand how restaurants work and all the expenses involved.

Wow Subway's new menu is absolutely mind-blowing!!

Mind-blowing how they can call it a new menu. Admittedly I ordered it today. It was exactly the same as always. Jus'sayin, you're gonna hire Steph Curry and Serena Williams to advertise a revolutionary new menu that features new (the same) bread. And brace yourselves for this, parmesan vinegar? Um that's two existing ingredients.

At BOGO I'm a customer, but Subway's attempt to reinvent themselves is a (bad) joke.

Unfortunately most of you will find the prices have increased for the same sandwiches. Sorry Turkey, Bacon, & Guacamole lovers, they've eliminated your sandwich and added sliced avocado forming a new BS sandwich to justify like a two dollar price hike.

My friend owns multiple Subways, I know what I'm talking about. Also they're making more than enough money on chips, cookies, pizza, and drinks, believe me they know what they're doing, and you're getting robbed without you knowing it.

Tried ordering from their website - clicked on FREEFOOTLONG which copied the code (so I couldn't screw it up) and opened the website.

I ordered two footlongs with nothing else / no extras / not a meal, went to the checkout page and pasted the code. I got this:

Sorry, qualifying items are missing to redeem this offer, or a better deal has been applied.

ConfusedConfused

Tried making one, then both sandwiches into a meal but that didn't help. Anyone else having any luck with this one?

Help??
