Some items to note are that the default warranty sucks (so I'd recommend using a credit card which extends it) and AtGames support isn't great. I personally haven't had issues, but it's something to be aware of. The height is pretty good, but if you're somewhat tall (I'm 6' and it effects me), you will probably want stools or a riser (I got some sick Star Wars ones from Home Depot, A1Up also has cool ones). Although it supports some light guns, there's a huge shortage due to the ongoing chip shortage and no sign of them coming soon. Finally note the built in chip can only play through the mid 90s type games/emulators and you'd need an external PC for anything more modern (particularly anything 3D).
Overall I would definitely recommend it for anyone who still has nostalgia for classic gaming/arcades. I had been planning on building one at some point, but with the crazy price of wood, that plan had been put on hiatus. This has now totally filled that desire and probably for a lot cheaper than DIY.

I don't usually comment negatively on products but I bought this from a prior Walmart deal posted here. It worked great until about after 20 plays (mostly Golden Tee when friends/family were over) when the track ball went out.
I emailed support and they knew exactly what it was (translation -- this happens often) and their response was I need to order a new trackball since it's a few weeks past the 30 day warranty and to install myself.
Pretty horrendous customer service and they obviously don't stand by their clearly flawed product. Buy at your own risk.
If something does break with your ALU, you should understand that whether or not your ALU is under warranty, if they send a replacement part to you, it will be the part that needs to be replaced and not the entire cabinet or not the entire control deck. You will need to take things apart and replace the broken part on your own. And the 30-day warranty is pretty ridiculous for something this expensive...but that's what it is.
That said, I still consider the ALU a great arcade cabinet for the price and far superior to the A1Up cabinets.
And by the way, if something breaks with an Arcade1Up cab, it is basically the same situation...they will put you through hell trying to get a replacement part, the parts are often out of stock, and you will be expected to replace the part yourself, whether it is the LCD, the PCB or a defective joystick or button. So I think this self-service approach and fairly terrible customer support is "par for the course" (Golden Tee pun for you) with these types of arcade cabinets.
Regarding the ALU trackball...yes, there have been some issues with the trackballs in the past where the supports for the trackball's roller bearings/shafts were not well supported and could break under heavy (or maybe even not very heavy) use.
Some guy designed 3D-printable supports to help prevent this problem and either sells the parts inexpensively or you can get the STL files for free and print them yourself. Many people have done this to either repair or prevent the problem from occurring, but it's true that this is a kind of DIY task that some people are not able or not interested in doing.
I haven't done it my my 2 ALUs (v1.0 and v1.1), but I'm also not a heavy user of the trackball. I did buy an extra trackball (about $50 + shipping) from AtGames so I'd have one around if mind did break, but to be fair to the poster, this isn't typically something most people should need to do.
I've heard that the latest trackballs (such as the one in the ALP arcade control deck) is better designed, so maybe the newer ALUs are starting to include the newer trackball, but I can't say for sure.
For many of the people buying the ALU or A1Up cabinets, a bit of tinkering like this isn't a big deal. Many of us have probably considered building our own cabinets from scratch, but are very happy with the ALU because it gives us nearly all of the benefits of a custom-built cabinet (with a solid and very flexible control deck and options for expansion) at a very good price (less expensive than building your own cabinet from scratch in most cases) and with a very small investment of time. For most people it will work reliably and should last a long time w/o issues, but if something does go wrong, it will require some effort and money to get it working again.

But by their support's response they know this is a problem yet are not addressing it and pushing the problem back on their customers -- I have a BIG issue with that and shouldn't have to order extra trackballs and put in supports to fix their flawed product.
It's a shame too because I really enjoyed the cabinet up until that point.
Then you need another flash drive to store your UCE files (and art files for CoinOpsX). Actually, you can take a single flash drive, partition it and use the first partition as the FlashDriveX and the second, larger partition for storing the UCE and art files.
Then you find your SaUCEy files, dump them on your larger drive/partition and run another app which does some magic to make everything ready for your ALU.
You can either play the UCE formatted games by accessing them using the AddOnX feature, or go to the AppStoreX page and run CoinOpsX which will make them available with the flashy CoinOpsX interface.

Surprisingly, their replacement spinners are only $30 + $8 shipping...and that includes both spinners...which is a pretty good deal compared to other spinners I've seen. Then again, I haven't heard of their spinners going bad very often.
I can certainly understand you being pissed off about the problem and the cost and effort to fix it. Given how close you were to the 30 day period, you could try nagging them more to see if they are willing to send the part for free. Could also try posting something in their facebook area which might get a response to avoid unfavorable attention. But then again, you have to factor in the cost of your time. I guess you can still play all of the non-trackball games, but it sounds like Golden Tee was one of your favorites so it would be a bummer to not get it working again.
LGP = 8 buttons per player, 1 trackball, no spinners, pinball buttons on the side (included)
ALU = 6 buttons per player, 1 trackball, 2 spinners, pinball buttons on the side (only included for Sams Club version, otherwise $50 + shipping)
One of the things I've been dying to do is use my projection TV and LGP to play games and pinball using the side of my house as the screen.
Literally every game evermade up through ps1 games is on it.
Every arcade, nes, dos, neo geo, etc...
Can even do lightgun games with an original wii controller.
