I bought a orbital sander from them before and it was "open box" condition when it was advertised as "new". So be aware.
Not the same impact… this is the kit you'd be looking for DCK299P2
Is this refurb? Unbeatable price if new.

They accept PayPal as a payment method. Discover Card has 5% cash back when you pay with PayPal using your Discover Card as the funding source.

That puts your effective price at $66.50 plus tax.

With free shipping, this deal is hard to beat outside of maybe a package deal. I would consider buying an optional hex to chuck adapter [amazon.com] so you can use any drill bit and not just hex shank that are more expensive.

What is now difficult to find is this 887 puts out 1,825 in lbs, or 152 lbs of torque.... that is enough to remover a lot of car wheels with a socket adapter.

Note: The only thing I don't like about most DeWalt and a lot of others, is the inability to turn the light off.

The only 1 i really know of that you can turn the light off is the makita xdt16z. There may be others but thats the only one i know of. Can def do lugs if there torqued properly but def not designed to be doing lugs all the time. And going through socket adapters as well. It really beats up an impact driver doing that. Guess if your jus doing a car where torque is no more then 100 you would be alrite but some trucks and suvs up to 140 or 150 is pushing it. Can still be done tho. Gun jus wont like it in the long run

Kind of why I prefaced with 'cars,' where most are 80 to 90lbs if torqued properly.... No, I would not use this everyday, but for the couple times per year tire rotation and this is what you have, it becomes a more versatile tool. That said, anything it will not break loose, do it by hand and finish with this and reinstall with this. Actually, the #2 speed on mine is pretty consistent with 92lb tightening.

Personally, I have impact socket adapters from 1/4 to 3/8 and on up, whereas if they will not hold up to a 100-150lb, they are/were junk to begin with. I am pretty sure even a chrome adapter would work.

Correct... with at least DeWalt, the "B" at the end means 'bare tool.'

Some terrible reviews on the Dewalt brand one. 😬 Many say it fails very quickly after use. I'll probably stick with the separate drill as needed. 👍

Been using DeWalt for years with every truck having at least one 887, I have no complaints. Where most all box store brands are made in China, for commercial work, $70 is more or less a throwaway tool. If you search, you will see 'terrible reviews' on all tool brands, but when choosing between the two top tier consumer models, which is DeWalt, Milwaukee and perhaps Makita, it is going to depend on what battery line you are invested in.

But yes, a clutched drill will work fine for most people, most homeowners, but for finesse work, a mechanical clutch is probably better than an electric clutch that varies across manufactures and models.

For people that came from a single speed impact, most will pick one gear that kind of replicates and use that one most of the time. I can see where not fully engaged in multiple speeds can cause some issues... especially after they get some dust, dirt and grime in them.

For an extra $70, you can get a 20v max drill, 2 1.3Ah battery packs, a charger and a bag from Amazon.

DEWALT 20V Max Cordless Drill Combo Kit, 2-Tool (DCK240C2)

This is a good deal if you have the batteries but the Craftsman deal is similar and I think theirs was $25. I have all Dewalt tools and was wanting to pick up a Craftsman one at that price for work but not having batteries really kills the deal, and this deal as well for those without.

Not the same impact… this is the kit you'd be looking for DCK299P2
