it sucks
I bought this the last time from Walmart. I promptly returned it.

The problem is, with the Ball vacuum, it is impossible to vacuum under furniture without taking it apart and changing to a different attachment. Also, the vacuum is heavy and hard move around, especially up and down stairs. If you have lots of furniture (like sofas, loveseats, coffee tables, etc.) I wouldn't recommend this vacuum, as you can't run the vacuum head under anything (because the Ball blocks it). Also, if you have stairs, I also would not recommend this vacuum, unless you feel like a workout every time you vacuum the staircase.

I will say the return was easy with Walmart. You can return it to Walmart. Or, what I did, you log into the website, go to the order, press "return". Then it lets you print a pre-paid return label (at no cost to you). Then just put the vacuum back in the original box it came in, slap the label on the box, and drop it off at the nearest UPS store for free.

I believe this vacuum was designed by a bunch of Engineers in white coats in a lab, that have never actually vacuumed a home before. Great engineering design, but horrible in practical application or use.
I find that vacuums are one of the easiest things to fix. Especially one this popular. There are a ton of videos for changing each part. If you are slightly handy it's a no brainer.

I know the deal says it's expired, but as of right now they are in stock at Wally at the $139 price!

I just received my Dyson but didn't receive the flat out tool. Anyone else not get one?
No. My vacuum came pretty dirty as well. It doesn't look refurbished, it looks used. Not sure if I'm going to keep it

My vacuum came very dirty too. The worst part is one of prongs on the electric plug came in completely bent so I can't even plug it in! I had heard nothing but good things about Dyson refurbished items. They even have a video that shows the "thorough testing" their refurbished vacuums go through before they are resold. I wonder how they thoroughly tested my vacuum when you can't even plug it in!

Mine came dirty too. Theres a yellow stain in the bottom part where it connects. The chord is also covered in a white powdery film. Still thinking whether or not to return it.

Is this version supposed to include a flat out tool? I didn't get one... or is that only for the "pro plus"?

I bought the 3 year warranty on this... Would I be getting a new one or a refurbished one if it breaks down?

Is the animal 2 that much better?
Seems people like it more
Oh yea ahh! I don't use it for floor but for the handle to suck dirt. Animal Ball 2 sucks so well and gets dust off the electronics. I mainly use it for mats that pick up crystal particles and leave it connected to the outlet to clean often. It made a maid out of me. I love vacuuming bc of dyson animal ball 2. Next to shampoo-steam cleaning for me. But I don't have carpet so think ppl with carpet complain it's too strong. But for me that's the signature.
