Check out the hom assistant notice on TP-Link. They are removing local control in their latest firmware, so Home Assistant can no longer control it. The lights worked amazingly well in HA before, but I don't plan to buy these lights because of the firmware and local control issue.

Here you go! Are you familiar with Kasa's way of labeling their gear? If not, it's a model number, in this case KL125. For a two pack, add P2, so KL125P2. For a 4 pack, P4. Obviously they don't sell everything in multi packs but it does work for plug in dimmers etc.

This only affected European customers. US customers are on a different branch of firmware and are unaffected by this change. But TP-Link did it as a "band aid" solution to a security issue and is working on a fix. A workaround is provided in the link below in the meantime if you are in the EU not US.

My Kasa lights have been very finicky with Amazon. They will work for awhile and then quit. They seem to operate well on Google, currently.

Just FYI, Costco has 2 pack of Feit Smart Light Bulbs for $10 after $10 off. They are compatible with Alexa and Google Home. You can turn it on and off, change the color, brightness through your voice.

I only see the 4 pack for $39.99 online at Costco. Is the 2 pack in store only?

I scooped these up last SD post, they haven't disappointed. It's really easy to set your "scenes" and they are plenty bright.

Does anyone know a reason why all smart bulbs aren't any more than a 60 watt equivalent? Is it not possible to make one that's a 100 watt equivalent?

Isn't this limited to "the two smart sockets HS100(UK)4.1 and HS110(UK)4.1 only" per https://community.tp-link.com/en/...ic/239364?

I bought a single of these a while back. It's been alright. I think a good entry into RGB bulbs. Effects and integrations are a little lacking without putting in some elbow grease. If you want a no frills RGB bulb I can recommend these.
