This monitor is identical to the (now discontinued) Monoprice 34in Dark Matter. I have both, and they are identical side by side, color, stand, etc.

I really appreciate all the extra info you took the time to write out! I got the monitor coming but this will be the first monitor in a long time i'll be using the Displayport over HDMI.. What cable are you using if you don't mind me asking? I could have sworn I read somewhere the included cable is not very good which isn't surprising.

That, I'm unsure.... I'm using the one that came with my Alienware Ultrawide. So I can't confirm how poor of a cable it is.

I know you DMed, but I'll reply here, so others benefit from my assessment.

The images I uploaded seem like a not so humble brag, but I'm trying to imbue a sense of, I know wtf I'm talking about.

My DecoGear unit pretty much shows decent uniformity through the range except for the edges. That is completely in-line with edge lit ultra-wides I have owned, Including a Lenovo, urlhasbeenblocked and Alienware. There is very low amount of grey uniformity "clouding" and the light edge bleed is lower than all my other monitors. If I had to nit-pick the color uniformity, it would be only because its an ultra-wide and I'm not looking at it dead center. That is to say, I am looking at it dead center. If you aren't positioned center of an ultra-wide, then you can obviously expect color shift.

As previously stated the image is better than my Alienware which is IPS, not just because the blacks are actually black. I color calibrate all my monitors and this things is great.

Now I say all this, but my tolerances for perfection are not the highest of high. If it looks good while I game then I don't care. I also use this for my work monitor and have no issue with ghosting. It does not seem to be an issue any greater than any other monitor I own.

So.... if you are sitting dead center and shit seems off, not just from left to right, but left actually is different than right then you might have a bad monitor. If left and right look the same, but the center is off... its likely completely normal.
Thanks Cyciumx, really appreciate the response. I'm looking at it dead center and the left 1/4th of the panel is noticeably "redder" than the right 1/4th of the panel especially on whites and greys. I don't have any scientific way to measure it and I'm by no means an expert so this is just from eyeballing it. For context this is the first monitor I've spent my money on in a looong time so I might be being nitpickier than normal due to it coming out of my pocket. I use a couple of P32p-20s at work that they provided so it's possible I've been spoiled. I think I might just hit up Deco Gear about an exchange and see if the replacement comes closer to your experience.

Yeah, that does not sound like it is in the realm of standard panel deviation, unfortunately. I would not describe any color as being cast during the white and gray test you linked to.

Don't give up hope though on the replacement... this monitor is serious business.
