This monitor is identical to the (now discontinued) Monoprice 34in Dark Matter. I have both, and they are identical side by side, color, stand, etc.

That, I'm unsure.... I'm using the one that came with my Alienware Ultrawide. So I can't confirm how poor of a cable it is.
The images I uploaded seem like a not so humble brag, but I'm trying to imbue a sense of, I know wtf I'm talking about.
My DecoGear unit pretty much shows decent uniformity through the range except for the edges. That is completely in-line with edge lit ultra-wides I have owned, Including a Lenovo, urlhasbeenblocked and Alienware. There is very low amount of grey uniformity "clouding" and the light edge bleed is lower than all my other monitors. If I had to nit-pick the color uniformity, it would be only because its an ultra-wide and I'm not looking at it dead center. That is to say, I am looking at it dead center. If you aren't positioned center of an ultra-wide, then you can obviously expect color shift.
As previously stated the image is better than my Alienware which is IPS, not just because the blacks are actually black. I color calibrate all my monitors and this things is great.
Now I say all this, but my tolerances for perfection are not the highest of high. If it looks good while I game then I don't care. I also use this for my work monitor and have no issue with ghosting. It does not seem to be an issue any greater than any other monitor I own.
So.... if you are sitting dead center and shit seems off, not just from left to right, but left actually is different than right then you might have a bad monitor. If left and right look the same, but the center is off... its likely completely normal.
Yeah, that does not sound like it is in the realm of standard panel deviation, unfortunately. I would not describe any color as being cast during the white and gray test you linked to.
Don't give up hope though on the replacement... this monitor is serious business.
