I bought this two deals ago, the main reason was because of the thunderbolt 3 port. I dont see it in the listing now but this looks like the exact same model and the model number on the website is the exact same one i have, wonder why they don't advertise it anymore?

Anyway with the thunderbolt port it does support charging and displayport. I have used mine with several Dell Thunderbolt docks with success. (the thunderbolt light on the dock cable does not light up but it sees the monitors and ports fine, and charges. no driver install needed but it probably installed generic ones online)

What makes this a real deal is the thunderbolt port, cant find any in sub $500 laptops. And also while these are refurb, they were actaully manufactured in 2020, Mine says manufactured 9/2020 so its not even a year old and I have had it 3 months already.

Edit

Also for the question. the ram is soldered. I wiped and installed windows 10 pro since i needed that and it is plenty fast though, no need to upgrade, and i use it for work.

I have attached some pics of the motherboard. It looks like there is an extra m.2 slot on the right side, don't know if its sata or nvme. I dont have another drive to test it.

Yes. Trained for 8 weeks and sent directly to the front. MIA since April.

Can anyone explain why all these flex notebooks have a blank area at the bottom of the screen? I personally find it annoying. I wish they'd either add more pixels or make the unit smaller.

Hinge strength, without risking the display? Most other "notebooks" have the same blank area (mine does). Maybe that's changing, but for the first few generations of 2-in-1 the complaint was always the hinge, so that's definitely not an area to play around with structural integrity

I purchased this exact deal a couple months ago for my mom from here on slickdeals. Works like a charm.
I'm in for another one, but this time for myself.

How can I figure out what ssd I can upgrade it to? Any help would be really appreciated.

If you are upgrading the main drive it is a pci-e nvme drive, the ones that mostly go on sale here on slickdeals

For example like this one (which is already expire, but they go on sale all the time)

https://slickdeals.net/f/15147826-1tb-sandisk-ultra-m-2-pcie-3-0-nvme-solid-state-drive-95-free-shipping?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

If you do end up upgrading it try putting the old onee in the other slot and let us know if it see's it Smilie

Bought this exact one last year. Laptop is great and the 2in1 capability is exactly why I bought it for. Pen and charger was in the bottom of the box that it came with and I almost thought it didn't come with one. Great travel laptop though don't expect it to play more modern games too well. It plays league fine but valorant struggles a bit, for instance. Also charges through the USB c port but you need to make sure to get at least a 65w USB c charger for that. Use it pretty often as a tablet laptop type of thing and the touch capability is great overall

I haven't used the stylus much, more for the touchscreen and to keep fingerprints off of it. However, it seems more than adequate for non-professional drawing.

I use this laptop for work when traveling (mysql, php, RDC, MS Office, etc.). It is perfect for these tasks and I really like the 14" size.

When I purchased, it came with the stylus, charger (I've ditched the charger and use USB-C), and the padded case. Tough deal to beat for the price.
