No. Dual hose or go home.
Dual hose is slightly better and it depends on the AC and how it's made. There are models with one hose that are better than two hoses. It is better to avoid portable ACs all together unless you have no choice!

The problem with single hose units is they are using already cooled air to cool down the condenser, while dual hose units use outside air.
