Page shows $60 for store assembly -- I would save the money and do it yourself

Are the arms soft material or hard as a rock like cheap chairs?

I am looking for a replacement for a mid-end costco leather ($350 originally) chair and it had thick foam covered in leather that's wearing out/getting thing. I need a good soft arm chair that will wear without breaking and protects the elbow against calices.

TY.
Its slightly soft -- not rock hard or super soft (check the above video @ 4min)

Love these chairs! Replaced 4 chairs at home since quarantine.

Don't forget to redeem staples Gc for 20% off with discover card rewards!
Please explain. I have a Discover Card and rewards available. How do I make this work? Do I just use my Discover to purchase the chair? TIA

You redeem your rewards for a staples GC at 20% off as offered on Discover website then use it to buy the chair.

I have this exact chair, in blue. The chair is comfortable, good lumbar (which I need). To the poster who asked- the arm rests are cushioned, and relatively soft. Think of it kind of like the texture of memory foam-- it's not plush, but it's not designed to be.

The one and only drawback I have for the chair, is that I wish the head rest went up higher. I'm 6'0 and around 195lb, with a pretty long upper torso (probably the torso of someone 6'2" or 6'3"). I feel like I need the head rest to be able to raise up another 2" or so for it to be at the appropriate height for me. So as long as you aren't super tall (or have the torso of someone pretty tall), highly recommended.

Like the other posters mentioned- very easy to assemble, definitely not worth paying to assemble this one.

Great video. Thank you!

It seems like both of these chairs are kind of cheaply made with a bit of a stronger build on the Hyken with it's own disadvantages. Strangely, I think I heard him mention that the Hyken has harder arm rests, but it definitely seemed like it was better than this chair.

Taking a look at what chairs Staples offers, this chair looks almost identical to my Coscto chair that is no longer made/sold except it has tilt and some other features. https://www.staples.com/staples-l...?back=true. I called the manuf to see if I could buy replacement arm rests.

On Discover's website, go to Rewards > Gift cards (Browse it). There you can redeem your cash back for gift cards, for example a Staples $100 gift card can be redeemed for $85 cash back. Get the eCertificate.
Once you get your eCertificate gift card, you can then use that to pay for the chair on Staples. Don't forget to apply the coupon, and use of cash back sites / SD Rewards.

Great price, but I'd spend more and buy a refurbished Herman Miller Aeron. Bought a hyken for my son and it's nothing compare to the HM.
How much more?

Does anyone know if you can get the back rest to remain completely rigid? I went to the store to try this out and the there was always some give, despite locking it in the forward position
