Take a picture of a green surface to be used for background and use a masking layer to incorporate it with the image. You do not need PhotoShop, Elements has masking layer capability.
I mounted a curtain rod on the wall and use that as background cloth holder.

Wall mounted system saves space as well, much cleaner looking, good for small space.
With that said, if you plan to use it for any professional type of purpose, or want something you know won't collapse down, I definitely recommend C-Stands.
If you're using this for a greenscreen on a zoom call, the $30 kit should be plenty.

I already have a couple green screens but the correct size for this the one I have doesn't have the loop at the top to slide the bar through and I have another green screen but it's way too big and that one does too, for 10$ more this comes with the green screen with the loop thing so you can have an even clean green screen

For different purposes indeed. Paper backdrops are good for product and portrait shots, while muslin backdrops are good for video shootings or Zoom meetings, especially the green and blue ones.
