When it's new, you'll get a steady stream of water from the filter into the pitcher. As time goes on (but likely before the rated filter life) it will become a drip. Obviously depends on what's in your water.
best to use water filtering system "iSpring" or "APEC" 6-stage at least.

The TDS measurement standards maybe internationally relevant but imho Zerowater is the best tasting and comes with a free TDS tester and its just like bottled water
