Hey guys - Just a quick PSA for when these orders likely get xcled - When you call to complain, whine, threaten to never shop at HD again, yell at or say how you'll sue them, blablabla, remember that the person you're speaking to didn't cancel or decide to do so to your order. They will stick to the script. Take the 20% off your next order, free ship or whatever consolation offer they give and move on.

They aren't getting paid enough to care about your interpretation of a law or that you will never shop there again and how much you spend there. Trust this.

Should go without saying, but some of the posts here are pretty concerning...

It is not odd. You can't cancel online orders after an hour your order had been placed. This is the norm.

Does anyone know why the estimated delivery isn't until August 16th? If it doesn't get cancelled, is it actaully likely that it's going to take until mid August, or could we expect it within 1-2 eweks?

I did with a washer but maybe appliances are different. All I had to do was click that button 5 days later. That's the only time I've ever cancelled an order so maybe I'll see what happens on different types of orders in the future.

You can definitely still cancel after 45 minutes. It just gets put in to a queue to see if it's still cancelable. If it hasn't shipped, most times it's still cancelable. Even if it has shipped, you can call the carrier and have them send the package back to the sender.

How do you figure that? They're aren't selling mattresses "at cost". HD paid a fraction of the retail price.

"We are sorry, this...." replaced the "order another one" button so nothing to do with them canceling orders
