Elaine2019I saw that too. But when I went back to the deal of the day, it was removed.
The product is no longer available because they sold all the specifically allotted number of this item they set forth as having as their Deal of the Day.

Today's technology is very different from years ago. Nowadays merchants can easily monitor any sales spike on a particular item on their website in a minute. Such SaaS vendors include Datadog, Sumo Logic, and Splunk. So I would be surprised if this is indeed a price error and no one from HD's IT department caught the error and let it sell out itself with the wrong price. If this is the case, someone from IT should also be fired.

One guy bragged about it. Maybe in a crazy scheme to make money someone spent $10k. I'd of ordered 50 if I was a jerk and I thought they would be honored. An easy $30k profit. I'll bet a lot of people did this.

And? Who says the sold 10,000? I doubt any store sells 10,000 mattresses in a year. Lol.
Home Depot has 2,300 locations. So you're suggesting they don't sell ~4 mattresses per location per year?

(Yes, you said "store", but nobody is suggesting that any one store/location sold 10,000 for this deal)

Anyone remember Target's pricing mistake for a believe multiple electronics? I think I remember some LG oleds going for only a few hundred dollars (normally cost a few thousand). They honored those sales for a lot of people if I remember correctly.

Amazon had Samsung 8k TVs for a few hundred dollars that shipped.

Not surprising at all. I live in a college town and there is always a bunch of random "mattress guys" who have a weird selection of mattresses that just open up a shop in a building for a month and move on. No business name or anything. Appt only type of thing. Sure they are just resellers.

"Easy profit?" You gamble $10000 on a bunch of mattresses that you *might* be able to sell out of the back of a uhaul? Haha. I can't imagine people lining up to buy those.
I'd like to see proof anyone actually "bought" 50 mattresses.

Not if they are still in the packaging. You would saturate the local market pretty quick but in a month or so they would be gone. Now if you sleep on it and even worse have an accident the price drops significantly.
