Use a detailer spray to wet the spot you are working on before rubbing the clay. Remember she needs to be wet before you can rub her. Never rub the clay on a dry surface!

If you're really into detailing your car, I believe the process is something like - wash (soap, rinse), clay bar, polish, polish, wax to make it really shine. It's pretty cool when you get a good wax job and the water just falls off the car and you don't need to use windshield wipers really unless heavy rain.
Also as others have mentioned.. GET A GOOD DETAILING SPRAY!!! You have to use one with this product. Don't be cheap .. don't use water.
ONR is a good cost effective multi purpose tool to have in your detailing kit. Can be used as a clay lube but also makes.a great car wash and interior cleaner as well. Also safe on glass.
