Beware! Their after-sale service is horrible/non-existent. The SSD I bought started malfunctioning after Amazon's 30-day return period and after I contacted SK Hynix, they kept asking me to contact Amazon (!). Once I contacted Amazon, Amazon said it's not common to return after 30 days and it will have a restocking fee. I reached out to SK Hynix again about that and then they started giving me a run-around again until I gave up after 7 back-and-forth emails.

I used to recommend SK Hynix SSDs. They are very good products. But I would avoid it now because there really isn't a way any more for warranty service and all you can do with Amazon is return it under Amazon rules. You cannot request warranty service through Amazon. So, the 5 year warranty is meaningless.

Until a few months ago, they used to have an unadvertised RMA form at

https://ssd.skhynix.com/customer_en.html

but that has disappeared with just a bunch of FAQ answers and email contact form. May be they have another unadvertised form somewhere but I doubt it.

No point in doing business with such customer unfriendly and borderline scam companies. If they cannot handle retail sales, they shouldn't be doing retail sales.

Please do not encourage such companies here.

If anyone cares, or not, I picked up the 512GB P version and it works very well in my laptop. R/W speed is impressive. It is supposed to be more power conserving according to Tom's Hardware. I haven't done any measurements, but on speed alone it's worth the few bucks more (or less) than other NVMe drives.

I remember getting these in a previous deal for my desktop and they came with no mounting screws (my desktop didn't need them). However, I'm considering getting another one now this time for my mini pc. Anyone know what screws would I need exactly to mount them?
Edit - When I contacted GMK (my minipc is a gmk nucbox 2) they said I needed "3.5mm diameter screws" but when I searched that on amazon I still don't get it XD

I've bought two of these drives. They're amazing, matches Samsung performance. But to me the real benefit to this drive is the durability.

These are really great drives. I've used them for all sorts of tasks, my favorite being photo backup. I like the $85 price point better though that has been seen in the past a few times.. If your not in a rush, I think that's the cheapest price based on historical data. Would love to see a sale in the $80 range though. Can anyone meet that happen please Smilie

Also bought these back in September for $83.19. Still, not a bad price considering the sad state of semiconductor supply. Wink

I wonder if your credit card used has either purchase protection or extended warranty and if they would let you use either of those to claim since hynix wont help.

this is the regular SSD, so max speed is as listed hovering around 500MB/s. The upside is that it shouldn't run as hot as a NVMe ssd.
