My understanding is the one-year duration is not device specific so once you activate it on your second computer, that license will expire for all devices in one year. You would effectively have 2 concurrent licenses on your primary computer and it would not extend it to a 3rd year.
For those that may prefer "Key Card" instead of "download", here it is for the same price with coupon code 76RKTECH2A6

Maybe BitDefender is picking up virus vs. malware. Both are needed to pick up different types of attacks
I don't believe this is true.

How often does this deal occur? Is there a chance I will be able to renew at this price or will I wind up paying $60/yr?

this is free
The free version only gives you real time protection for 14days, after the trial it does not update definitions daily or scan automatically so you could get INFECTED.....ask Target's HVAC company that thought free was good enough until they caused target to have a major security breach several years ago that compromised and stole data of 110 mil people. ( The hvac company was allowed access to a system for billing purposes) The hvac company was not updating and scanning daily... they got infected and unknowingly infected targets computers and POS terminals.

I use windows defender and malwarebytes, not one or the other but BOTH.

Have to be proactive rather than reactive.
The free MBAM version works fine for those of us who are proactive.

99.9% of computer users are not proactive..they don't even have a backup ...proactive or not the free version can get you infected more so then the premium version.

Not sure if I found this 4-year subscription for $10 here on SD in early 2020.

Malwarebytes Premium
( 2 Devices , 4 Year Subscription) $199.96
Discount $189.96
Sales Tax / VAT $0.86
Grand Total $10.86

If this is effective and don't suck the life out of my hardware(s) then $30 feels fair. Sure, maybe it was cheaper but saving $5 or $10 while being "at risk" in the meantime doesn't really make sense.

So...if this effective? Or not?

doesnt the free version do the same job?
You can perform scans and malware removal with the free version. The premium has real time scanning like a regular anti-virus program. What I've found is that the scans/removal can be useful and the real time scanning is worse than hot garbage for that job, so I suggest never buying it and never letting the free 14 day premium trial run. Don't let it start with Windows and use it for maintenance scanning or dealing with problems only. Common sense and Windows Defender is sufficient.

I disagree, MBAM will find things windows defender misses. One needs BOTH not just one or the other.

I like Malwarebytes, but the free version is fine for me.

If I download something sketchy, I scan it.

You really shouldn't be downloading sketchy **** all the time, so it shouldn't be that big a deal.

Crazy that this is a front page price now. I bought a lifetime subscription on Newegg for $14 in 2012. I liked it so much I bought a second one in case I had enough devices I needed it and never used it. Still sitting in a drawer somewhere. I wonder if the code would still work...
