Born raised in Jax. You could do some river / ocean fishing charters. Beaches. St Augustine is a great two-day visit. Orlando is close - theme parks and such. Also nearby are natural springs that are worth a day trip to float down the river
And southern hospitality. It's a thing

I was just remembering all our trips to Florida last October-November for less than $40 round-trip! I doubt I'll ever see rates that bottom low anytime soon. $137 now sounds like a total joke lol.

How is this a deal? Typical economy fare. JFK -> MIA 97 r/t Jetblue Aug 21- 28
Just google flight search. Lots of FL destinations at or less than this price on standard and budget airlines. ST Augustine 137/ Key West 87 ...blah blah blah

Real estate is booming all over the area by a crazy amount. Not sure you'd get the best deal right now.

Otherwise, decent enough areas, nice-ish beaches and not a ton of traffic when compared to other metro areas. Plus it has most things you'd probably be looking for - but a car is a must.

Were you the New Yorkers blaming Florida for all the COVID-19 cases while traveling here?
Not all New Yorkers believe the CU0-V1D 19 IQ BS. (CUO-M0) laugh out loud

It's about the deal price, and nothing else.
There is no need to be so jealous of NY.nod

In fact, if it ever gets as bad as it did before, I'm getting the heck out of here!EEK!

A lot of good prices RT to Florida in general because COVID numbers are spiking big time in Florida again with the Delta variant.

Anything good to see there?
I am in NYC and most people only want to go to Miami.
A great place to start is the r/jacksonville subreddit and search "to do" I'm in this area and steal stuff to do from there all the time. I would also suggest kayak Amelia for a paddle tour and Fernanda river cruise. We have a ton of water things: river and ocean…Here's and example:

I dunno who TDed them - prob folks wanted to keep those hidden gems for themselves, but my family and many of our friends enjoyed so many trips to FL back then - it was a particularly fresh breath of air to have a meal in a restaurant while everything in PA and NJ was shut down. Between cheap tickets, dirt cheap hotels and relatively empty beaches it was probably one of the best autumns in the last 5-6 years.
Prob cuz u r spreading covid19 around the country

Not sure if you're stalking me... ha. that's where we live currently. No doubt the hottest stplace in Florida right now. Great schools and close to the beach. I'm biased but this is the place to be to live, raise a family, or invest in a property to rent out
St Johns County is considered to have THE best school system in NE Florida thus the reason choose to live in St Johns over Jacksonville, Clay County or any of the other neighboring areas.
