I just got this same monitor from the previous SD at Target for the same price. I like it a lot. It was not my primary montior though, it was a secondary to my Samsung 27" G7 240hz monitor. I didn't like having a flat secondary monitor next to the G7's extreme curve and grabbed this when it came on sale. It's a nice monitor for THIS price range.

PROS
-Price is very very good for these specs
-27" 1440p @ 144hz
-Color is solid
-Curve is nice
-No ghosting that I could tell, but it was used as my secondary monitor so no games on it.
-Fast startup
-Freesync

CONS
-HDR sucks
-No gsync
-No side usb ports (I wouldn't use anyways, but some might)
-External power brick

THINGS TO NOTE
-Curve did not match my G7 (not monoprice fault)
-Starts up as fast as my G7
-Try not to compare it too much to the G7 as that monitor costs 3x as much, so it's not a fair comparison.
-Mine was vesa mounted, so I cannot comment on the stand, never removed it.
-PC Specs: i9-10850k & RTX 3090

Having said all of that... I am actually returning the monitor because the G5 27" was on sale for $269 and I want it to match my G7. Had that sale not occurred, I would have happily kept this for my secondary monitor.
Bro I need whatever tvs you got if 6ms is "worse than a tv"
This comment is complete nonsense.

Any cons using it for non gaming purpose?
TIA

144hz adds to the price when you could just pay for a normal 1440p 60hz monitor

Most monitors are 5ms. So this ain't bad. Also, if you have a 1ms, most likely it's not true 1ms. They usually add a fake setting to monitors to advertise 1ms, but that setting overshoots and it's unusable.

This is perfectly fine for an 11 year old. Though I would likely be looking for a 32" with similar specs.

6ms and i don't think I'll get used to curve screens

I like simple things and i have no problem with Flat screens whatsoever.

If this was $150 I'd be in. Otherwise gonna spend more for newer specs.

Hands down the G5. I returned the Monoprice (still great monitor) for the G5 cuz it matches my G7 and I like the looks of it better. You can't go wrong with the Mono, but you can go better with the G5.

Has anyone gotten theirs and tried it out yet? Interested in learning your reviews as there is not much online about these.

It was at Best Buy and Amazon. BB is now "on sale" at $299.99. Amazon currently has only odd 3rd party vendors selling over $300
