Bought this yesterday. Specs look good for a midrange system. According to a review there is only two fan headers so it may be smart to pick up a splitter cable. I'm either gonna run a r5-3600 or a r3-3300x depending on what monitor and Gpu combo I decide to use (either 2070 Super or a 1650 super). If anyone wants me to update this once it arrives I have no problem doing so.

*quick edit-I am responding to the original comment that had stated this wasn't worth the money in 2021..I'm not just being a jerk Smilie
How do you figure? All pcie gen 4 allows is a gen 4 nvme drive. Which at this price bracket I doubt that costly of a drive will be considered as either an OS drive or a mass storage drive. All current pcie gen4 gpu's run at there same spec using gen 3 as well, so your not losing any compatibility at all…
I mean for $78 you get support for gen 2 to current Ryzen CPU's. With good heatsinks and power delivery. Honestly this seems to be a solid deal. I haven't had a chance to test out the board personally yet, but I would be completely comfortable running a 5800x/5900x on this with pbo on.

Pictures make it seem like 4 fan headers. My gigabyte ds3h only has two though so maybe the same

I'm assuming the cpu cooler and aio pump header were not being counted by the guy who had wrote the review. I checked out what the first 5/10 reviews on pcpartpicker had to say and that was really the only thing that popped out as a build pausing issue.
My last mini itx build had one damn header and I was very thankful I had a 1 to 4 splitter on hand

Ah that makes sense. Yeah in my case it was only 1 case fan and 1 cpu :| made it work though

Have this on a secondary system. Make sure you update the BIOS to the latest or risk becoming a victim of the dreaded USB ports cutting out that started happening on some of the 450/550/650s. My system became damn near unusable until the BIOS that came out a few weeks back finally fixed it after about 5-6 mos of issues (hence why I built another system). Beautiful and rock solid little mobo otherwise. Very OC friendly and no notable flex.

Not advertised much, but, sure seems to support Ryzen 5000 and has BIOS flashback.

Something very funny about cobbled systems I always get a good chuckle out of somebody who has a $1500 graphics card plugged into an $80 motherboard lol

$800 CPU with an entry level $80 motherboard. Not the best idea. This board doesn't have a true 8-phase VRM. It's a 4-phase design with doublers.

This board will support a 5950x just fine as long as you don't plan to overclock.

comparing with asrock b450 pro4, that one seems have 3 phase x 2

while for the addons, i believe i'm going to plug in a random gpu and a 10gbe intel network card / some infiniband card in future so i don't think the exisiting 2.4gbe will be a difference for me
nod
the current scenario is like, I have a "x370 prime pro + 1700x" and a "b450m mortar + 1700x" working fine but planned to upgrade both of them to 5950x for future compile need after the price of 5950x or 5900x go, let's say 300 bucks

or - let's say follow what the other bios modders has done and settled until am5 release? I'm kinda hesitating here.
