This is the same as having two 27in monitors side by side .. so it does give you the option of treating it as two monitor or one big one for things like programming.

It really is great as a work / productivity monitor as well as a bit of a bonus for gaming.

I have the 43inch version of this monitor, and it has been an absolute game changer in terms of productivity and gaming. I work tech support, and having all that horizontal real estate really helps with multitasking/ keeping an eye on multiple things at once. Gaming wise unless you're running a legit supercomputer or running older titles you'll probably have to settle for less than 120 FPS, but it's amazingly immersive regardless. I put Apex on very low settings and get around 60 FPS and it's super fun.
I've been eyeing this monitor for awhile, but honestly the 43 Inch has been so nice I may have found my personal sweet spot. I would highly recommend super ultrawides like this though!

You do you. You're forgetting returning anything to Amazon is super simple. If it comes with dead pixels or whatever, just send it back.

Warranty registration is all linked to the serial number. I had to RMA a Evo SSD a few months ago and they just used the manufacture date to determine my eligibility.

If I can save myself almost 50% to take a small risk then sure I'll do it. No one is forcing you to.

I have 2 32" g5s coming. Is this more wise instead of the 32"s? I have never used a curved before
Dual 32's will give you a great experience. I run dual curved 32" on my desk. Make sure you have about 56" width available tho

a 48C1 is like $500 more.
Not to mention has the aspect ratio of a TV. Apples to oranges.

I asked myself the same thing, and when I saw that you can put the C1 in ultrawide mode through Nvidia control panel I went out and got the C1 the next day.
Real you referring to LG OLED 48 c1 ? If you put in ultrawide thru nvidia control panel, wont you cause burnin with static image ?

How good is the color accuracy of this monitor, specifically for image editing and video editing using MacBook Air M1?

VA panel so not ideal for that purpose. IPS panel is what you want.

If you don't have HDMI2.1 GPU and want 4k 120Hz, get the LG OLED.
If you have Xbox X or PS5 and want 4k 120Hz, get the LG OLED.
If you don't have any desk space left, get the LG OLED or any other flat displays.

Looks is the only thing this display has.

I switched from this to a CX55 and couldn't be happier. Costs more, but way more practical and better everything; picture quality, color accuracy, etc. A working HDR at that.

There's nothing static. The pixels not lit up are simply turned off. And it's just for gaming. For TV and movies I leave it at default. They letterbox themselves if needed.

How close are you sitting to your tv to use it as monitor? If it's 2/3 feet away like most usage, wouldn't your head be constantly moving around to see the whole screen? Like sitting in the front row in a movie theater?

If it's far away that you don't have to move your head too much, how do you see the fonts?

If you have to blow up the display then you are not taking advantage of the 4K resolution?

I'm trying to think how a 4K oled tv is better than this?

I do a lot of (raw) photo edits and 4K video editing on Adobe Premiere, these (ultra) wide screen monitors are not very useful for those purposes.

Get a nice 4K monitor. I have a Dell 43 inch ultrasharp and it's awesome for both work and other uses. The advantage of having extra vertical space is priceless. It's great for Excel, Tableau, SQL Developer, and other programs I use simultaneously.

This monitor has a surface area of 626 square inches, compared to 790 for a 43-inch 4K. Also, a 4K monitor has higher resolution (3840x2160 vs. 5120x1440).

Check out https://www.sven.de/dpi/ to do the math for you.

This monitor:
Display size: 47.17" × 13.27" = 625.78in² (119.81cm × 33.7cm = 4037.29cm²) at 108.54 PPI, 0.234mm dot pitch, 11782 PPI²

A 43-inch 4K monitor:
Display size: 37.48" × 21.08" = 790.08in² (95.19cm × 53.55cm = 5097.26cm²) at 102.46 PPI, 0.2479mm dot pitch, 10498 PPI²

I returned a 48 C1 for this and couldn't be more happy.
Would've loved to get the Dell instead for the IPS panel and USB-C but couldnt pass up this on Prime Day with the $70 buy more get more deal.

This works better for me as a work monitor since I need multiple windows for email, IM, web conferencing, browsers, Excel, etc. and I can place 3 windows side by side with the screen real estate. I thought the C1 would work better as 4 FHD screens but as a PC monitor the ABL or whatever feature that dynamically adjust brightness when large white content is onscreen, like a web page, was very distracting. In addition content on the edges and corner on a flat panel was hard to see.

Using "Knaive DP 1.4 DisplayPort 8K" and "UGREEN USB 3.0 Switch Selector" from Amazon for toggling between my m1 mini and work laptop. Works great!

One advantage of having ultra wide is that you can view things at the center of the screen, like watching a video or reading. If you have 2 monitors, you have to turn your head left or right …

Like I said before, it's rolling the die. If it was 200 dollars cheaper I would probably pass. But buying a 1700+ dollar monitor for 1000, yeah I'll take that chance considering how good Amazon's return policy is.
That's how I feel about warehouse deals generally. Just got a truck bed cover for $500 instead of $900 because it was very good condition with damaged packaging. You know, the box you toss.... If it was damaged in any way I'd just send it back. Box was beat to hell, but product fine.

I recently picked up the monoprice 49". Hard to go back to a standard monitor now.
