Yes, that's how that usually works. Almost no company will send you a brand new device for warranty. Apple gives you a refurbished iPhone if yours dies after the return period.

I bought this monitor 6 months ago. The button to change inputs is going bad, you have to push it super hard to get it to register. Other than that, happy with monitor.

Im going to hold off on warranty claim for now.

I bought one of these on black friday for $330 also. I did not have it a long time but here is my personal take on it. Freesync would flicker, no fix even with firmware update. No dead pixels, Really nice stand if you don't plan to mount it. Great blacks and response time was fine even for games like Warzone etc. For the price I feel this is a decent deal overall. Follow a calibration guide online and you will enjoy the picture a lot more at least I did when I had it.

I have this monitor. I have a ps5 connected to it and it works marvelous. No complaints whatsoever.

Had this monitor for over a year, really no problems with it. Although I prefer my S2721DGF over it.

I bought this monitor on last FP deal and do like it a lot. I wasn't sure what to expect as I have never used a curved monitor prior, but I got very used to it very quickly. I had it so close to my face initially, and was getting dizzy playing Doom Eternal; I had to place it back about 3-4 feet on my desk.

The HDR works just fine, it's not anything super vibrant or special but it is still usable. I do wish Windows did a better job of handling HDR... I generally use the quick menu button assignment to turn HDR on or off prior to using it.

This was an upgrade from my IPS 29" ultrawide. Slightly larger horizontal size with much taller picture. It was IPS and this VA panel is much better with the blacks, but the off angle does suffer a lot. Not that it matters too much as it's a monitor.

Why would you hold off on a warranty claim? Curious to know.

4ms and va not really a gaming monitor unless it's 1ms ips
1ms is g2g min. average response is always higher, even on the fastest 240/360hz panels with any reasonable overdrive setting.

This monitor is out of production seems like — spoke with Dell. So if you want this monitor now is your chance!
It is, they came out with an updated version, the S3222DGM. Some extra features from a quick look at the specs. Might be worth it for just an extra $25 bucks

Updated model looks like a mixed bag. Better advertised response time but less brightness. Need a good review that compares them but I wasn't able to find one. Will be interesting to see if this model gets any additional discount since it is essentially being closed out though.

What would be a good compliment to this as a secondary monitor good for viewing movies and photos?

Would it make sense to have 2?
