Rare to see it all come together but this thread has brought out a few buyers of this series (including myself) and I can certainly attest that this is one of the best general-purpose value platforms Dell has had for easily the past 4-5 years.

And you've got a couple of users here who has the actual laptop, including me, and tried USB-C charging on the laptop and it worked. Sorry if a few folks here are finding it hard to believe. But whatever.

Would this be a good student laptop? Our son is leaving for his freshman year in college in a few weeks and we need to get him a decent laptop...school/student use is primary usage.
*there is one in store local-ish to me I can go get tomorrow.
I just got the laptop and have been using it with my aftermarket usb-c charger and works great!
