I have purchased two of these same Denon units for $329 and $340, respectively, at Costco
within the past 9 months. They suit my purposes and have performed well. Don't know anything about the Onkyo.
I'm surprised no one has posted these as they have been out there several days.
Yamaha is the same price, but I think it is better wait for the next generation.
Yep when they fix the issues with HDMI 2.1.
Both of those receivers are at least 2 years old at this point. If you need a receiver now, either would be fine but I'm partial to the Denon.

Yep, there is supposed to be a fix for the Yamaha later this year.

Denon already has a work around for the models that support 120hz 4K and 60hz 8K, which unfortunately this one doesn't.
I picked up the Denon S750H and ended up returning it after a few weeks. Sounded great with music but just couldn't get it to sound as good as my Yamaha and Onkyo when it comes to movies. Spent weeks tinkering with it. I actually have a Denon S920W running my main home theater right now since my Yamaha bit the dust. The S920W sounds identical to the S750H. I'm gonna live with the Denon until Costco gets an updated Yamaha. I have this Onkyo Tx NR595 running my cabin home theater and have zero complaints.

I think both the Denon and Onkyo are 2019 models in your opinion is it worth it to wait for the 2022 that supposedly are coming later this year or early next year? Thanks!

Yeah, I'd wait for the new models with functioning 2.1 HDMI ports. Even if we don't need 2.1 right now I'm sure we eventually will. That said, I'd probably jump on a Costco Yamaha TSR-700 right now for the right price which has to be below $300.00.

Probably won't see the Yamaha back in Costco anytime soon at least not that model, my local pulled all remaining stock when that fiasco went down it wasn't available for sale. Quick lesson don't piss off Costco if you want to get your product back in their stores.
The only question mark on waiting for the 2022 Onkyo & Denons is where they'll be at pricewise and there won't be discount for some time on new release models.

It's still 400 (I checked a week ago) and it looks like they just pulled it from the online store as well.

I had a similar experience. Picked up the Denon S750H when on sale and movies just sounded flat. Bought the Yamaha (also on sale) and it sounds much fuller than the Denon. I thought it was just me or my setup.

Would you recommend the Onkyo then? I ordered the Denon but it hasn't come in yet. Wondering if the Onkyo is the way to go.

Dang it. Was hoping the Denon will go on sale for $330.or something. I already bought it for 399 and was going to price adjust it.
