SlickdealsForumsDeal TalkStar Wars Games (Xbox One / Series S|X Digital) $4.99 each: The Force Unleashed, Battlefront II (2005), Knights the Old Republic & More @ Microsoft Store
The force unleashed is the greatest video game ever made and I don't care who knows it.
Always read epic stories about KOTOR. Never had an Xbox until recently, is it a must play/buy at this price?
They are great games, I played both of them twice. (dark side has the cooler force powers) They have great stories and missions, some even show up in Mando s2.
The game play is very out dated, its slow and clunky compared to newer games. If you can get past that, it has some of the best stories in all of the star wars movies/books/tv shows

KOTOR 2 is good but story felt rushed and unfinished. I never played with mods but apparently those at least somewhat fix it. Still highly recommend but the KOTOR 1 story was better in my opinion.
Maybe if you've played like 4 video games ever š
Nah dude. KOTOR is definitely on my short list of greatest video games ever. It was my #1 for a long time. I agree with others that the gameplay is outdated, to the point that my teenage sons gave up on it. LOL. But the storyline is still legendary.
I have KOTOR, Republic Commando, and Jedi Academy on Steam. Will the resolution be the same on XBox One or will it be better? I'm thinking a LOT better, but you never know... they may have just ported it over with no visual upgrades...?
Edit: a quick Google tells me that it is a HUGE visual upgrade. Correct me if I'm wrong...
The KOTOR games are great - early Bioware so if you like Dragon Age or Mass Effect you're flying. There are always cheap Steam codes for these though, and I'd recommend PC over Xbox for all the extra content mods available unless you're platform locked... especially for KOTOR 2, the devs left lots of fun stuff out that the community later restored.
As far as Force Unleashed goes, all sizzle and no steak - I've been known to enjoy a Michael Bay movie from time to time though, so not to say that those games don't have cool moments but don't expect much depth.

?You're confused? I love the Kotor trilogy, but I'm disputing OP saying TFU is the greatest video game. It's good, but certainly not that good.
It looks like quite a bit of these were free on games with gold. Well I am assuming that because the only games I did not "own" other than the LEGO games was KOTOR 1 & 2. I believe I have them both physically somewhere but wouldn't mind having digital copies for convenience. The only thing that is holding me back is the fact that I believe there was some type of rumor that they were going to remaster both KOTOR 1 & 2 and provide some QOL fixes. Has anybody heard the same rumors or know any additional information? Thank you in advance!
I personally hated fallen order. But I'm a very bad gamer. You can hack and slash and button mash your way through TFU (up until the final boss where you have to pay attention a bit).
I found fallen order to be just complicated enough that by the time I got to the boss fight with the really big sister I just gave up.
I have heard many many many people tell me how wrong I am. Shrug. I don't care.
KOTOR I & II were absolutely amazing games for their time. They're outdated now, and it's a crying shame that they moved away from the single player RPG style, because it was such a successful formula for the SW universe. It's also a shame that Lucasfilm rushed Obsidian to release #2, as there were several unfinished storylines as a result. There are unofficial patches for the PC version, adding a whole new planet even, and if you're going to play it, that would probably be the best way to go.

Thanks OP

(Those are *kind of* installed on the PC, right?)
