You can also put it in a drill press and use it like a nibbler for flat plastic sliding it along the table. Secondly, without the use of the table you can cut plastic of contoured shapes.
The cheap bits bill burn up on the first stainless plate you drill, the cobalt m35 bits posted here are excellent quality and will far outperform those cheap tin coated Chinese bits. Amazing deal if you can order them.

None around me, but TU for the potential deal. This would be a great price for a quality bit.
With a single flute cutting design, it is actually a poor cutting bit and why they have been closeout at giveaway price for quite some time. Probably the best box store step drill bit is the DeWalt DWA1786IR [acmetools.com] or the 3pc set DWA1790IR [acmetools.com]. If you watch, I bought mine off eBay for about half that price.

Good for steel or aluminum thinner than the step size. IMO Pilot hole is recommended but with some isn't technically needed.
