I was intrigued; FWIW amazon has a bunch of users saying there is a manufacturing defect on one of the lid hinges that breaks the screen (again FWIW).

Totally agree on the RAM - for tab junkies, 4MB is a bummer. I expect the i-3 will give it a big leg up compared to Celeron chromebooks though, so if you're upgrading it could be worth it.

I had an open box one that I had returned because of an annoying dent. But performance-wise it was great for productivity with a good screen and keyboard. I didn't have any issues with the 4gb ray slowing it down and I've had both of the Galaxy Chromebook.

Biggest issues IMHO:
1. No backlit keyboard
2. EOL is only 5 years - decent but not great

Overall performance is killer for the price and I'm tempted to pick up another - OB is always a risk so I'm considering new!

As long as you plan to only use emails, web browser, and google docs, its perfectly fine. If you need other stuff for work, like some specific work application a chromebook wont work for you.

The specs are very good. The Ram and Memory are sufficient for a Chromebook. You should easily do what you want unless you need some specific Windows 10 app. Google Docs should be able to do your documents.

Great specs the eMMc memory is quite fast similar to an SSD. I3 is very fast for a Chromebook. Both of the Type C ports support display port.
