Maybe employers should pay their employees more instead of asking customers to pay their employees
Just wanted to share an encouraging thought. If any of y'all are able to use this coupon and you do get a significant discount, compared to what you normally pay for a haircut, you should use that as an opportunity to tip a little more generously. 🤠
do you realize that there are plenty of peer-reviewed studies out there showing that there is statistical significance in the tipping disparity for waitresses/waiters of different races? that alone should suggest that tipping is a toxic culture, not to mention the entitlement complex to go along with service providers expecting tips, and the variance in the amount each person tips for the same type of service. the US is one of the few countries in the world with this ridiculous culture, and it was founded from a time where owners were struggling. absent of COVID, that struggle is no longer relevant.

yes, it is actually as simple as abolishing tipping and having employers pay their employees more and employers can subsequently choose to up their prices for compensate. this way, things are actually normalized and not reliant on things of high variance.

Thanks op!
Last go round, it didn't work @unlisted area. I had to use my $10.99 saved up gift card.

Usually, people, who make the statement that you made it in your comment, are people, who don't like to tip and are selfish. Don't you think that if it were as simple as just paying the employees more, and still being able to have a successful business, that they would do it? Obviously, if they did that, they would need to increase the price of their product/service, in order to be able to afford to pay their employees the higher wage.

For the record, I am not a business owner, nor have I ever been one, and I'm not on my period. However, I do genuinely despise greed and selfishness.

Tipping is a way for the working class to get by on minimum wage. Tipping use to not be taxed, now it is at least in my state. What I don't understand is how can Jeff Bezos with a net worth of 177 billion not pay federal taxes but a struggling waitress has to pay taxes on tips barely getting by. Something is very wrong with that. I do tip $5 when I have used this coupon in the past.

my net worth is up to 1 million from my life ins. does it mean i have to pay tax on that every year until i die?

Do the stylists know how to use razor clippers at this point? True story: When I went a few years back the random stylist that took me came outright and said he doesn't do clippers- just scissors.

There always seems to be plenty of selfish pieces of shit, to bring up this argument. I sincerely hope that you end up having to get a job, where you depend on tips, and that people don't tip you, because they are aware of your character, and that you suffer and struggle for many years, because of your self-importance and greed.

No Offense ,but thats not tipping means. Tipping means your gratitude towards the person who offered you services and you are satisfied with those services . You already paid for those services so tipping is not necessary by any mean.
Just because minimum wages are not up we should fight to bring them up to the level. Suppose i am not happy with my hair cut should i still tip the person ? case by case things can be different. we go to a restaurant and food was delicious but services are not good should we tip? another case where food was not good but server did a really fantastic job. We should certainly tip in second case.

I would tip off the original price if it's a percentage of price based tip, even if using a discount - but increasing the tip because of the discount doesn't really make any more sense. According to the rationale here, we should tip at McDonalds if using a coupon to compensate for something or another
