Had 4 separate control squares/panels just stop connecting via bluetooth. Guessing support kept sending me refurbed control panels. Now I'm stuck using the pre-lit combinations and have no access to the custom color patterns you could download via the app. Worked great for about a year and then it was just problem after problem. They're still on my wall because, well, they have to be - removing them would rip part of my wall off. Otherwise, I'd take them down. Highly advise avoiding this brand.

Remote is so buggy, had to replace with Amazon because it wouldn't connect to my panels. Left my house for a week and the replacement remote's leds are close to dead because it's just been repeatedly firing green for a week. Pretty much given up now, it's just a paperweight

It seems to me that the Costco version has 9 panels (including controller) for 150$, where as nanoleaf has 9 panels + controller panel, which makes it 10 total tiles for 159$. Can you guys confirm? This makes nanoleaf direct purchase a better deal.

What generation are you from where led tech from 10 years ago with a pixel aesthetic from 15 years ago is somehow impressive to you?

Not sure where you got the impression they sell a kit that is 9+1. The nano leaf direct kit is identical. 8 light squares plus a control square for $159.
