I got an email from Lenovo about my order for the L5 Pro. It pretty much said nothing except I'll get more emails if anything actually does move.

Thanks for looking out for me Lenovo! Frown

My expected to ship and arrive dates got pushed back for the Legion 5 17"
Originally it was expected to ship around October and arrive in November, now it's saying expected to ship November 30th.
Hopefully mine gets pushed up to August like some of you. I also got an email today from Lenovo saying they are still working on my order.

Nov 30 is 100% just their generic placeholder date

Mine did too. Got the email this morning that will arrive the 27th. You think it's legit or can still get canceled?

Just imagine what a cancelled email would have made you feel like . My pro is still saying NOV 30th while my 17 non pro is showing end of August .

My goal is to take delivery of the non pro 17 and then see if the pro will ship in the following 30 days so I can return the non pro 17 😅

Glad I got the non Pro...The extras on the pro are not worth the extra to me. The screen on the non Pro is great too. But to each his own...

Surprised they're shipping non-pro models first since the profit margin on those is probably a lot thinner. I wonder if the considerably better screen on L5Ps is the limiting component here and they don't have enough of them.

Not sure if the cooling is any better, but definitely do a burn-in when/if you get the machine regardless of pro or non-pro because you may get throttling either way.

I'm on my second replacement thinkpad p15 and they all throttle(d) during burn-in... Even when I enable "ultra-performance mode" in the bios. A 10th gen chip locked to 3.2 ghz... 🙃. I hope AMD H cpus are better.

You'd assume that gaming machines have the beefiest cooling, but if even their workstation machines cant keep up...
