Hi Lenovo Rep yes this is Michael and I'm trying to take advantage of a price error but when I don't follow the OPs instructions on Slickdeals the price error disappears can you help me?

The Pro 5 supposedly ships in 10-12 business days as opposed to 3+ months for the normal Legion 5 17" model. I took a shot at this; after-tax total of $1,647.50 for the Pro 5 with:

● AMD® Ryzen™ 7 5800H Processor (3.20 GHz, up to 4.40 GHz Max Boost, 8 Cores, 16 Threads, 16 MB Cache)
● Windows 10 Pro 64 English
● 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 16 GB)
● 1 TB PCIe SSD
● 1 TB PCIe SSD
● 16.0" WQXGA (2560 x 1600) IPS, anti-glare with Dolby Vision™, HDR 400, 500 nits, 165Hz
● NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 3070 8GB
● 720p HD
● Array Microphone
● Storm Grey
● Backlit 4 Zone RGB - US English
● Wi-Fi 802.11AX (2 x 2) & Bluetooth® 5.1
● Anodizing
● PC/ABS
● 4 Cell Li-Polymer 80Wh
● 300W AC
● Publication-English
● 1 Year Depot or Carry-in

Fingers crossed to get this laptop at $950 off the retail price!

Why'd you cancel? Better deal somewhere else? Need one sooner?

The L5 17" is a great deal but the L5 Pro is an okay deal, yes it is top spec'd for $1500 or lower but the long wait reduces the overall value.

Wonder if the spike up in Bitcoin prices gonna make these even more attractive once we actually get them and btc back at 50+ lol

This is something I waffle on daily. I think I can resell the 17s and make some good money to drive down the cost of my l5p though

How did you cancel your order? I've decided to do the same thing but I can't find the option for canceling my order on Lenovo's websit. Did you have to call Lenovo to cancel?

I canceled mine using chat, was a headache trying to cancel it through an online portal.

I'm not really informed about crypto mining but I have heard some people mine on laptops. Do you know how much one can mine using one of these legion laptops without breaking it? I mean I assume mining 24/7 is gonna negatively affect the laptop

Its an awesome deal, Both are great but the L5 17" especially. The skeptical side of me thinks its a bluff, to get people on board to group cancel so they can me up their shipping date. Its a long shot but what else is there to do. I'm also cancelling mine Wink Groupwave

Anyone know of a reasonably priced dock that can do dual 4k@60hz that would work with these Ryzen-based/non-thunderbolt laptops?

you could potentially get $5/day(24 straight hours) at current price with the laptop. As long as you maintain good airflow and temperature, i don't think it will damage the laptop

I don't have specific ones to recommend, but note that majority (if not all) of the non-Thunderbolt docks with dual 4k@60Hz use the DisplayLink technology because native USB-C doesn't have enough bandwidth. DisplayLink is a compression technology; it'll work fine for productivity uses, but for gaming and fast-moving video playback, it could potentially have some artifacts on screen.

I think the best solution is probably to get a single 4K@60Hz non-displaylink dock and use a separate USB-C to HDMI/DP cable.

Very interested as well. Multiple USB-C docks on Amazon that support 2 monitors 4K@60 but having issues finding one that supports 3. Want to order one while waiting but with the shipping date moving around so much I am holding off. I have a Gen 1 X1 Carbon Extreme with dock but the stupid power and USB-C port are one large piece of plastic so I cant re-use it for this...
