Hi Lenovo Rep yes this is Michael and I'm trying to take advantage of a price error but when I don't follow the OPs instructions on Slickdeals the price error disappears can you help me?

The Pro 5 supposedly ships in 10-12 business days as opposed to 3+ months for the normal Legion 5 17" model. I took a shot at this; after-tax total of $1,647.50 for the Pro 5 with:

● AMD® Ryzen™ 7 5800H Processor (3.20 GHz, up to 4.40 GHz Max Boost, 8 Cores, 16 Threads, 16 MB Cache)
● Windows 10 Pro 64 English
● 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 16 GB)
● 1 TB PCIe SSD
● 1 TB PCIe SSD
● 16.0" WQXGA (2560 x 1600) IPS, anti-glare with Dolby Vision™, HDR 400, 500 nits, 165Hz
● NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 3070 8GB
● 720p HD
● Array Microphone
● Storm Grey
● Backlit 4 Zone RGB - US English
● Wi-Fi 802.11AX (2 x 2) & Bluetooth® 5.1
● Anodizing
● PC/ABS
● 4 Cell Li-Polymer 80Wh
● 300W AC
● Publication-English
● 1 Year Depot or Carry-in

Fingers crossed to get this laptop at $950 off the retail price!

Think I saw a video where if your laptop came with a smaller battery, there is a spot on the left where a caddy goes and a ribbon cable connects to the mobo for one…
I have a L5 15 inch. There's no ribbon cable adapter on this model. You would have to solder one on and hope the SATA adapter works. These M.2 are not SATA compatible so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

See this picture from my review: https://www.ultrabookreview.com/w...nals-4.jpg

If you zoom into the left fan and look just below and to the right, you'll see the missing connector labeled JHDD1.

I'm assuming the 17" model is the same but maybe I'm wrong. But the previous gen 15" and 17" models both supported 2.5" drives, so these newer ones probably don't

My 17 also went back to a Dec 7th delivery date. It's pretty annoying to be teased with an end of August date and then have it change 2 days before it was supposed to ship lol. My order for the 16 pro hasn't changed in a while though.

Got an email last week that said to get excited, then another email last night that said they hit a speed bump and my order will ship within the next 30 days...OVP hasn't updated since before any of those emails. This will for sure be a fun one.

It would be crazy if Lenovo actually filled these orders. There is going to be plethora of eventual comments when orders get cancelled or not fulfilled until November lol. The comments will go something like "report them to BBB", "running a scam to sell our information", "Lets all leave negative reviews", "I am going to call 100 times until I get an answer as to why my order has not shipped", "I demand a $500 coupon for the emotional toll this deal has brought on me"

Oh and the classic "I am never buying from Lenovo again, they have just lost a customer"
Lenovo, Please don't cancel my order, I don't want this 👆 guy to get the satisfaction. I shall hold!!!!

P.S. he missed out on the deal.

I did not, I am also holding onto the $1077 Legion 5 17" hoping it ships.

I did get my L5Pro canceled though.

Imagine if they pushed it back to 2022, lol. I'm anticipating that update, so I won't be too shocked, haha.

Intel Alder Lake laptops with the Big. Little architecture are almost out. Those should perform better than any Ryzen chips 8 big cores with 16 threads and 8 small cores with 8 threads. Lenovo pushes this to 2022 it will become last-Gen.

I'm anticipating shortages to continue well into 2022 to be honest and I fully believe that priced @ <$1100 equivalent deals are going to be hard to come by

Seems like the date changed again. Checked my L5 17 order status today and it said shipping September 27, arriving October 4.

Really playing with our heartstrings here, Lenovo.

Check video at 1:30.

I think i can see on your pic that your port has been removed…, but you can literally see where a 2.5" hdd would go. Sucks yours is gone.

Has anyone received their laptop yet? My Legion 5 17 changed from December to October arrival date again. No charges so far.
