Hi Lenovo Rep yes this is Michael and I'm trying to take advantage of a price error but when I don't follow the OPs instructions on Slickdeals the price error disappears can you help me?

The Pro 5 supposedly ships in 10-12 business days as opposed to 3+ months for the normal Legion 5 17" model. I took a shot at this; after-tax total of $1,647.50 for the Pro 5 with:

● AMD® Ryzen™ 7 5800H Processor (3.20 GHz, up to 4.40 GHz Max Boost, 8 Cores, 16 Threads, 16 MB Cache)
● Windows 10 Pro 64 English
● 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 16 GB)
● 1 TB PCIe SSD
● 1 TB PCIe SSD
● 16.0" WQXGA (2560 x 1600) IPS, anti-glare with Dolby Vision™, HDR 400, 500 nits, 165Hz
● NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 3070 8GB
● 720p HD
● Array Microphone
● Storm Grey
● Backlit 4 Zone RGB - US English
● Wi-Fi 802.11AX (2 x 2) & Bluetooth® 5.1
● Anodizing
● PC/ABS
● 4 Cell Li-Polymer 80Wh
● 300W AC
● Publication-English
● 1 Year Depot or Carry-in

Fingers crossed to get this laptop at $950 off the retail price!

Heck, at this stage we may have to begin asking for warranty extensions because they start the warranty period when they ship. I figure best case this thing is getting here by end of this week. Been stuck in Narnia since Thursday...

Unpacked yesterday. Humming along in Nicehash Quickminer at 66.8 Mh/sec @ 64C. Seems rock solid thus far.

How does one get into mining? I assume there is more then just grabbing this app.

Far too deep a subject to get into in this thread, nor would people appreciate the tangent. There's plenty of discussion on reddit. Be aware that there are extensive tax reporting implications and requirements, both currently and on the horizon due to impending legislation in the U.S.

Laptop is here, everything I ordered was included.

Came loaded with lifetime(?) Microsoft Office, feelsgoodman.

This this a beast, now to get the vertical mount built for my two monitors and replace this old tower.

Decided to keep mine I guess. Haven't had a 17" laptop before and it's pretty beautiful. There's a bit of backlight bleed in the bottom left corner for me, but otherwise so far so good. Still figuring things out as I haven't setup a gaming laptop in forever.

Having trouble finding out where to enable freesync at all. I went to Lenovo's site to look for AMD's drivers(haven't done a clean install) https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/e...-5-17ach6h but there's no utility or anything. I downloaded the AMD VGA Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Legion 5 Pro-16ACH6H, Legion 5-15ACH6H, Legion 5-17ACH6H but haven't really noticed any changes.

Also anyone know if there's a way to toggle between the igpu and the RTX 3070?

EDIT go to lenovo vantage software, turn on hybrid mode there. Oops.

Does anyone have a link to a teardown guide for the L5 17?
I want to add a 2nd SSD, but I also don't want to break anything. I got the 10 screws out of the bottom, but separating the back of the case is a bit sketchy.

Is a PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe pointless in these? I haven't tried it in the #1 slot, but I'm getting PCIe 3.0 speeds in the 2nd slot.

As I'm going through the laptop, I noticed that the audio bitrate and sample rate are locked at 16/48Khz. I have a particular program which requires 44.1 so this is somewhat show stopping for me. Will continue looking around for drivers and such - but for people with a fresh windows install, are you able to change your sample rate?

I think you figured it out but just in case. Once hybrid mode is on and vantage install the drivers the radeon software was auto immediately installed through the windows store. Under settings and display you can enable freesync and some other useful items. Faking 4k on the display looks mostly native to me but YMMV.

I still can't seem to get it to work. I uninstall all the drivers. Then I download the AMD drivers from Lenovo's website. It installs the drivers only and not the AMD Radeon Software. If I extract the files and try to install it manually it gives me an error.
Then I downloaded the AMD drivers from AMD's website. It'll install the drivers and AMD Radeon Software, but says FreeSync Not Supported.
