What happens when you stress just the CPU itself without putting load on the GPU? I have an L5P and the CPU stays at between 65 and 69C with 21C/71F ambient when running Cinebench R23. If you hit 90C+ while running R23 then your theory may be correct; i.e., no paste, but could also be a warped heatsink.
Gets to 76C within seconds and eventually tops out at 87C. I'm gonna check the paste tomorrow and see. If the paste job looks decent, I'm just gonna RMA

If the paste is there and the issue is with the heatsink/vapor chamber, make sure that the paste you replace it with looks identical or at least similar to the original one (assuming you'll try to replace). Read at least one horror story about EVGA denying an RMA because the paste was not the same they put in. Granted, that's EVGA, not Lenovo, but EVGA is typically known to be more lenient with warranty claims.

I did a fresh install of Windows 11. Anyone know how to activate Office that I assume came pre-installed?

It does come with 1 SSD, but there is a 2nd M. 2 slot for a 2nd SSD.

Check your documentation for a product key card. If it is not there, contact Lenovo support.

I am planning to today on my L5Pro from Walmart. Supposedly the process is simple if you do a reset rather than doing a fresh install:

What wireless card did you guys get? Mine came with a MediaTek card which is quite disappointing. Many complaints online as well on the same card which was being used in Asus 2021 gaming laptops.

Anyone with the Legion 5 17" model noticing some overheating issues? Hitting 101C sustained on the CPU...

What did you end up doing?

Using HWinfo, I ran through a couple trials of 3dMark...

Had some blips to 96 C, but it pretty much stayed around 76 C on the CPU the entire time. The GPU maxed out around 68 C.

Is that what is actually listed in Device Manager? I know our invoices say Intel AX 200, but I also received a Mediatek wifi card.
